Trench Tai Cottage

Unique Ontario Home Created With Metal Products From American Buildings Company

The Trench Tai Cottage is a new breathtaking residential cottage in Carleton Place, Ontario. The 3,200-square-foot building was built by Pri-Tec Construction Ltd., an American Buildings Company (ABC) Authorized Builder. The cottage displays a unique modern influence, while still maintaining the comfort of a residential atmosphere.

The building consists of a 40-foot by 40-foot combined hip roof structure and a 40-foot by 40-foot lean-to attached. Dark bronze Long Span III roof panels and pearl gray Long Span III wall panels were used to complete the structure. The interior includes a second floor with balconies and a third floor loft that extends into both structures. The exterior prominent elevation was in-filled with masonry brick, windows, glass railings and doors to create a soft residential feeling.

Additionally, for their work on the project, Pri-Tec Construction Ltd. was awarded first place in the 2014 ABC Excellence in Design Awards in the Special Projects category. The ABC Excellence in Design Awards program recognizes builders and roofers for their innovation in design and metal systems construction.
