VMZINC To Offer Zinc Presentations At METALCON

Raleigh, NC – In conjunction with its METALCON 2014 plans, VMZINC®-US, the international brand name of rolled zinc products manufactured and sold by the Building Products Unit of the Umicore group, will offer a special presentation about the effective use of zinc and copper ornamentation in construction.
METALCON, the only U.S. trade show devoted exclusively to metal construction products, will be held this year on Oct. 1-3 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. VMZINC will be exhibiting at the show in booth 1821 but will also be helping attendees learn more about zinc and copper through the special 15-minute program titled “Ornaments are the Diamonds on the Crown of a Building or Landmark.”
The program’s presenter will be Sammy Baron, customer support manager for ornaments at VMZINC. He will focus on roofing decoration, heritage orientation and new design. Presentations will be held at the following times and locations:
· Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 4 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. in Learning Zone 2, Booth 341
· Thursday, Oct. 2 from 2 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. in Learning Zone 1, Booth 2117
· Friday, Oct. 3 from 10:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Learning Zone 1, Booth 2117
With more than 22 years of industry experience, Baron is responsible for worldwide export sales for VMZINC® Ornaments, a division with a production of heritage and decorative roofing applications for historical buildings using copper and zinc. Prior to serving as customer support manager, he worked in VMZINC®’s technical support department where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s trainers in Benelux and the United Kingdom. Before joining VMZINC®, Baron spent 15 years with a roofing company where he worked in close association with VMZINC® applications.

In addition to Baron’s presentation, VMZINC® has contributed materials to the Solar Bay exhibit at booth # 846, METALCON’s central space, where visitors have the opportunity to discover the latest solar products and solar integration technologies for metal roofing. The Solar Bay Pavilion allows experts and product engineers to demonstrate the best methodologies for integrating solar technology into new and existing construction projects. Throughout METALCON, attendees can visit the Solar Bay Pavilion to attend seminars on solar installation and care, as well as learn about the latest solar system trends and the benefits associated with using this type of solar technology.
Among experts on hand at the VMZINC® booth (#1821) to discuss products and answer attendee questions will be Dan Hennessey, VMZINC® sales representative for Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona.
