Chicago, IL - The Metal Construction Association (MCA) presented its Patrick R. Bush Volunteer Service Award to Scott Moffatt, as an outstanding achiever in the metal construction industry. The award was presented at MCA’s winter meeting held January 2018 in San Diego, California.

Moffatt was chosen for the award because of the significant contributions he made to MCA’s annual and semi-annual meetings. “Not only did Scott improve attendance at the meetings by selecting more appealing venues and enhancing the schedule of events, he pulled a magic trick by making the events more cost effective at the same time,” said Karl Hielscher, MCA Executive Director. “His efforts have revitalized MCA’s meetings and we are very grateful.”

Moffatt serves as the architectural market manager, building products for the coil and extrusion groups with PPG. He has thirty-nine years of experience within PPG’s industrial organization in various sales, sales management and marketing functions covering multiple technologies and market segments. He spent five years managing businesses throughout Europe and then held global positions coordinating sales, technical and manufacturing strategies for Europe and Asia.

In his current position, his goal is to work with architectural firms, glazing companies and applicators to specify PPG. He represents PPG to all the major associations involved with the metal building industry (MCA, MRA, MBMA, AEC, AAMA, and CRRC), is a 7-year member of MRA, 2-year MCA board member, and a MCA program committee chair.

The Patrick R. Bush Volunteer Service Award was created in honor of longtime MCA board member Pat Bush and recognizes those who have made significant contributions to MCA, and the metal construction industry as a whole.
