ATAS Names 2018 Sales Team Of The Year

Allentown, PA - ATAS International Inc. announces Frank Saldana, CSI, CDT, and Marc Fisher, as the recipients of its annual Malan S. Parker Award to recognize the top sales team of 2018.

Malan S. “Steve” Parker was an exemplary ATAS Product Representative in the New England territory, and he passed away in 2002. Since then, to honor his hard work and dedication to ATAS, the sales team of the year award is now known as the Malan S. Parker Award.

Saldana previously won this award in 2014. He is the ATAS Product Representative for Southern California and Fisher is the Inside Technical Salesperson for the territory. They were chosen as this year’s winners for their overall sales growth within the territory, and observance of corporate goals and objectives. As well, they diversified the types of projects on which ATAS products are being used. The ongoing development of residential projects has created steady business, while expansion in the commercial market has resulted in sales growth. This is mainly attributable to the sale of standard and custom panels and fabricated trims. Fisher’s support of Saldana and their customers within the region was instrumental to the growth realized in that area.

Education of customers is a key component to building a successful territory, and Saldana has been very involved in teaching architects, contractors, distributors, and others about how metal components and systems can contribute to a project. The number of ATAS specific presentations he had given throughout 2018 has set a record within the company for the most training provided within a territory by a Product Representative.

Saldana is a member of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), and is active in the Los Angeles chapter. In 2015, he earned CSI’s Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) certification, to enhance his knowledge of the processes and documents utilized in the design and construction of commercial buildings. He also earned the Metal Roof Installation certification through the Metal Construction Association (MCA) in 2018. Saldana has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management, with a minor in communications, from Concordia University of Portland, Oregon. Fisher joined ATAS’ inside technical sales department in 2016, and his education includes an Associate of Science degree in drafting and technology from MTI College in California.

Since June of 2013, Saldana has held the position of the ATAS Product Rep for Southern California. Prior to that, he was employed by a couple different building product manufacturers and a renewable energy company. Saldana’s knowledge and contact base, built over his 22+ years of experience in the AEC industry, has been of great benefit to him and his customers.
