Pittsburgh, PA - On January 22, Triangle Fastener Corporation (TFC) announced the passing of Randy Allen, 65, a former employee who’d retired from the company at the end of 2019 after 10 years of exemplary service. Allen was well-known throughout the
metal construction industry, an active member of several trade associations and a familiar face at industry meetings and trade shows. TFC's announcement, published in its entirety, is as follows:
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Randy Allen. Our friend and coworker passed away on the afternoon of Friday, January 17th, after fighting a bout with pancreatic cancer. Randy had just turned 65 years of age.
Randy recently retired from TFC on December 31st
, 2019 after 10 years of service as our National Accounts Manager, and was most recently Territory Manager for the TFC Houston branch. Randy was an active participant within the MCA (Metal Construction Association) and the MBMA (Metal Building
Manufacturers Association). With the MCA, he was a board member and chaired the Accessories Committee. He had extensive knowledge of the metal building and metal roofing industries. At trade shows and association meetings, he never
knew a stranger, and was known by many in the industry.
Those that knew him will always remember his infectious smile, his love for music, and of course, the love that he had for his Ohio State Buckeyes. We are very saddened by this loss and our heartfelt condolences go out to Randy's friends and family.
