Metal Sales Adding New Purlin Mill In Denver

Louisville, KY - Metal Sales Manufacturing Corp., a leading supplier of metal construction products, announces the addition of a new purlin mill at the company's Denver facility that will be operational on January 1, 2022. This line will automate and expand Metal Sales' capability to roll form purlins and additional secondary framing members.

The new, state-of-the-art purlin line will significantly expand Metal Sales' secondary structural product offering and increase production efficiencies and redundancies. The new line will be able to produce purlins up to a 24” web depth and as heavy as 10-gauge, with the ability to roll form eave struts and other structural sections.

The new, automated equipment will streamline changeovers, improve throughput, reduce lead times and increase flexibility.

"A significant benefit to this investment is the opportunity to accelerate sales growth, servicing more accounts on a national basis," according to an announcement from Metal sales. "Denver’s location is ideal to service national customers and provide necessary redundancy for other Metal Sales locations."

At the same time, Metal Sales will be relocating the existing Denver mill to its Mocksville, NC branch. Once complete, this will bring the total number of branches producing secondary structural framing to five: Woodland, CA; Temple, TX; Sellersburg, IN; Denver, CO; and Mocksville, NC.
