Wood's Powr-Grip To Be Active In IMP Activities At METALCON 2022

Laurel, MT - Wood's Powr-Grip (WPG), a leading supplier of vacuum lifters for insulated metal panels (IMPs), will have a prominent presence at METALCON 2022 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, October 12 - 14. WPG will participate in the IMP Pavilion and Barry Wood, Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Development, will be a presenter at the IMP Education Center during each day of the show.

WPG will exhibit at METALCON in Booth 948, adjacent to the IMP Pavilion in Booth 949. The pavilion, now in its second year at the show, features members of the IMP Alliance - including Wood's Powr-Grip. The IMP Alliance is a council of the Metal Construction Association (MCA).

The IMP Alliance has also coordinated with the organizers of METALCON to have an education center where the Alliance will be holding seminar/demos during all three days of the event. The IMP Education Center Presents: Insulated Metal Panels – Installation and Handling Best Practices

This special seminar and demo will cover best practices and common mistakes made during unloading, storage, handling and installation of insulated metal panels. Topics to be covered include:

• Avoiding damage when unloading trucks

• Staging and storage of bundles to avoid wet stack corrosion

• Tactics for long-term storage of bundles

• Handling panels to minimize labor, and to reduce chances of injury and damage

• Basic wall panel installation and common mistakes made

• General jobsite safety practices
