American Buildings Honors Builders for Excellence in Design

E.H. Beiler Industrial Services, LLC of East Earl, PA was the contractor responsible for Pod 1B Clair Global. The project, located in Lititz, PA, earned American Buildings' Building of the Year Award for 2026. The project became a finalist for the award after placing first in the Special Projects Category in Amiercan Buildings' annual Excellence in Design Awards.

Charlotte, NC – American Buildings has announced the recipients of its 2026 Excellence in Design Awards. This competition, created to showcase the varied applications and evolving boundaries within the metal buildings industry, provides Authorized Builders with an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and craftsmanship. The program highlights how metal building systems accommodate a wide range of customer requirements, regardless of project scale or intricacy.

Annually, American Buildings organizes the Excellence in Design program for all Authorized American Builders. Through its partnerships, American Buildings supports its Builders in turning conceptual designs into completed projects, continually advancing the capabilities of metal building systems.

This year, judges reviewed approximately 100 submissions, selecting outstanding projects in categories including Agricultural; Auto Dealership; Church/Religious; Commercial; Community/Government; Manufacturing/Industrial; Office; Recreation; Retail; Special Projects; Transportation; and Warehouse/Distribution.

Awards were granted in each category — first, second and third, and honorable mentions. First place category winners were subsequently nominated for consideration as the overall 2026 Building of the Year (Gold), 1st Runner Up (SILVER), and 2nd Runner Up (BRONZE).

Building of the Year (GOLD) – Rock Lititz POD 1B Clair Global

Pod 1B Clair Global is situated within the Rock Lititz campus, which houses a mix of production vendors, studio spaces, and support services for the live entertainment industry. As global headquarters for Clair Bros., the original leader of sound technology in the music and live entertainment industries, this state-of-the-art facility stands at 44’ in height and is engineered to accommodate solar panels, various hoist and point loads, rigging grids, storage platforms, balconies, and canopies. The building includes multiple mezzanines, offering three levels of functional space. Structurally, it features several three-story portal frames, with rafter depths ranging from three to five feet. The design of Pod 1B integrates specialized elements and support systems to address the intricate requirements of the two-sided facade located at the southwest corner of the building. The exterior walls are finished with American’s Reverse-R Panel in a custom black, matching other pods across the Rock Lititz Campus. American Buildings' Standing Seam 360 roof system in Galvalume was also utilized.
