The 2013 International Student Competition on Cold-Formed Steel Design, hosted by the University of North Texas (UNT), promotes higher education in cold-formed steel structural design and encourages students to use creative thinking skills to solve engineering problems. Washington, DC – After six months of steadily increasing demand for design services, the Architecture Billings Index (ABI) paused in November. As a leading economic indicator of construction activity, the ABI reflects the approximate nine to twelve month lead time between architecture billings and construction spending. The American Institute of Architects (AIA) reported the November ABI score was 49.8, down from a mark of 51.6 in October.

Allentown, PA - ATAS International Inc. owners and sales team members sported pink shirts at METALCON International in Atlanta, GA in October to show support for the “It’s the Journey 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer”, and the “Metal Magnolias” team. The 2-Day walk was founded 11 years ago by a breast cancer survivor, Randi Passoff. It was the first time a trade show had come to Atlanta and partnered with “It’s the Journey” for this event.
