A modern interpretation of a traditional New England Barn, the new Research and Education Greenhouse at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst balances the historic, agrarian character of the University's roots with the spirit of cutting-edge plant research. Designed by Boston-based Payette, the project incorporates 6,400 sq. ft. of Pre-weathered graphite-grey Double Lock Standing Seam Roof and Wall Panels from RHEINZINK America Inc., Woburn, MA.

The building is LEED Gold Certified. It offers an open, flexible environment for introductory botany instruction and plant experimentation. The RHEINZINK products on the building were installed by Crocker Architectural Sheet Metal of North Oxford, MA. ABC Building Products of Woburn was the distributor.
