Ellerbe Becket, Inc., as lead architect, created a Charlotte Bobcats Arena building that represents Charlotte, NC’s character, combining the textile spools of the past with brick, arches, steel, glass and metal elements. The project was built on time and within the $265 million budget.

CENTRIA Formawall® Dimension Series® panels make up the unique customized color sections that flow over the exterior of the arena. Formawall® Dimension Series® is the only wall system that provides both advanced thermal efficiency and moisture control in a single panelized component.

Architects were Ellerbe Becket Inc., Kansas City, MO; Odell Architects, PC, Charlotte, NC; and The Freelon Group, Research Triangle Park, NC. General Contractor was Hunt Construction, Indianapolis, IN. The CENTRIA dealer was Crown Corr, Inc., Gary, IN. CENTRIA products used were: IW-10A in Regal White; Formawall® Dimension Series® in four custom shades of Silversmith; MR3-36 in Charcoal Gray; and Style-Rib in Charcoal Gray.
