Though covering just 600 sq. ft. of area, the Omega-Lite® panels featured on the Crowne Plaza building in Fort Myers, FL, play a huge role in the building’s look and character.
The building was designed by Gora McGahey of Fort Myers and features as its architectural highlight a large wave-form canopy clad with Kynar-finished Omega-Lite® panels in a custom yellow color. The panels were manufactured by Laminators Inc. of Hatfield, PA, and installed by Camp Rigby Roofing of Cape Coral, FL using the manufacturer’s rout and return and tight fit molding attachment systems. The project’s general contractor was Compass Construction, also of Cape Coral.
Omega-Lite® is a water- and weather-resistant 6mm-thick aluminum composite panel designed for exterior surfaces. It is available in a wide range of standard colors and finishes, metal thicknesses and sheet sizes. It is designed for on-site fabrication and installation with any of Laminators’ four proprietary installation systems.
