A 15,000-plus square feet custom metal building from Star Building Systems, combined with cedar post-and-beam framing, created the Southwest Missouri Humane Society facility which is nested in Springfield, MO.
Utilizing 17,809 square feet of MBCI’s BattenLok HS roof system in a Natural Patina color, coupled with stucco and rock exterior wall treatments, resulted in this eye-catching project.
Unusual to this project was the combination of the Star custom metal building with cedar post-and-beam framing to accent the front of the facility. Completed in October 2009, Star’s STB and SMT structural systems are featured.
The Star Builder for the Southwest Missouri Humane Society project was Morelock-Ross Builders, Springfield, MO. The steel erector was Burk Erectors, Springfield, MO. The architect was Marshall-Waters-Woody, also of Springfield, MO.
