Flexibility, energy efficiency and aesthetic cohesiveness were all achieved through the use of insulated metal wall and roof systems from FALK for
the four buildings that comprise the Buttermilk Court commercial/industrial development on the southwest side of Grand Rapids, MI in Hudsonville. The first building was completed in 2021while the fourth was finished in 2024. The 300,000 sq. ft., 29-acre development
is home to a variety of businesses.
FALK partnered with Miedema Metal Building Systems of Hudsonville throughout the development's growth to supply insulated metal panels for the various-sized buildings. Across the four facilities, FALK HFW-40 and CSW insulated wall panels were used
for exterior facades and interior demising walls, while one building also features FALK SSR-42 insulated roof panels. Exterior walls incorporate Merlin Grey, Goosewing Grey, and Anthracite colors, creating a coordinated industrial aesthetic across
the development. Bright White was used for the insulated roof panels, with Dutch White featured on interior and partition walls.
The FALK HFW 40 insulated metal panel, notable for its concealed fastening, caters to diverse construction needs with its dual steel sheets encasing a PIR insulation core. Available in 2.5 to 8-inch insulation thicknesses and various color/profile options,
it's ideal for exterior or interior applications in industrial, agricultural, or residential projects. With a 40-inch working width, vertical/horizontal fastening, and lengths up to 82ft, the FALK HFW 40 solution blends aesthetics, functionality,
and flexible installation, revolutionizing modern construction.
FALK's CSW panel ensures optimal temperature control for cold rooms, freezer rooms, or other conditioned environments. Considered a foundational choice for temperature-sensitive spaces, it is available with diverse coating options, including contact food-safe
and non-contact food-safe, making the panel especially suited for industries prioritizing hygiene, such as those in food and meat processing.
