For ease and speed of construction, as well as their excellent thermal properties, Poirier Fontaine Architects of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, specified 40,000 sq. ft. VICWEST Insulated Metal Wall Panels with a Surrey Beige Colorite SMP paint finish for the exterior of a large Staples distribution center in Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada. The building was completed in early 2007 and was VICWEST’s first insulated metal panel project in the Maritimes.
The Micro-ribbed Profile panels are 3” thick, 42” wide. The face and liner sheets are 26-gauge Galvalume-coated, stucco-embossed steel.
Flynn Canada of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia was the project’s contractor.
