The Lancaster Public Safety Building is a contemporary structure that houses the Lancaster, Texas police and fire departments, which serve the citizens of Lancaster and portions of Dallas County.

CENTRIA’s Profile Series IW Series concealed fastener profiles provided the facility with an overall clean, unbroken, contemporary appearance. Additionally, they are designed for all-weather installation, which allows for fast-track scheduling; and while they’re aesthetically pleasing on their own, their interchangeable weather-resistant lock-joint design allows architects to mix and match panel profiles throughout a design.

CENTRIA Concept Series CS660E with MicroSeam Corners also contributed to the facility’s seamless appearance while providing interesting visual effects. Concept Series single-skin panels also were an environmentally-responsible design option for the building team as they are Cradle to Cradle CertifiedCM at the Silver level.

CENTRIA’s FormaBond 8 mm ACM Panel is a one-step metal composite panel fabricated system. It was selected for this project because of its high-performance weather-tight construction and lightweight yet extremely strong finished panels; these come ready to install complete with Rout & Return panel joinery and stiffeners, saving the building design team both time and money.

The project architect was Perkins + Will of Dallas, TX; the CENTRIA products dealer/installer was National Panel Systems Inc. of Wexford, PA; and the general contractor was Phillips/May Corporation of Dallas, TX.
