Located in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, the Surfside Beach Fire Station is a 14,500 sq. ft., two-story facility which encompasses four drive-through fire apparatus bays, cascade room, gear and equipment storage and a decontamination area. It also features an emergency operations center, administrative offices, classrooms, dorm/living quarters, exercise area and emergency electrical power generation system.
Topping the fire station is an Englert Series 2000 standing seam metal roof. The 11,500 sq. ft. of Galvalume Plus-coated steel panels were manufactured at the jobsite by the roofing installer, Spann Roofing & Sheet Metal of Conway, SC.
The fire station was designed by DP3 Architects of Greenville, SC. Hanco Construction of Myrtle Beach, SC was the general contractor.
