This 8,196 square foot Family Dollar store, located in Savannah, GA, utilized metal building system construction from Mid-West Steel Building Company. It was designed by C.L. Helt, Architect. The general contractor was HJB Construction of Charleston, SC, and the erector and roofing contractor was Charles’s Steel Erection.

The building features a single slope standing seam roof with a through-wall gutter system. Endwall and sidewall panels are reverse PBR. The store also features a high parapet at the front with side overhangs. The exterior veneer is two-bone brick face with split face block, and custom awnings were installed over all of the windows.

This project was a 2014 Mid-West Steel Building Company Design Build Award of Excellence winner.
