The new Habitat ReStore facility in Kenner, Louisiana features Rigid Frame construction by Varco Pruden Buildings. Recognizing the innovative design
and quality of workmanship, the 25,000 sq. ft. structure was selected as the winner in the Retail category of the 2020 Varco Pruden Hall of Fame Awards.
Habitat ReStores are independently owned reuse stores operated by local Habitat for Humanity organizations that accept donations and sell home improvement items to the public at a fraction of the retail price. The stores sell new and gently used furniture,
appliances, home goods, building materials and more. As described on the Habitat for Humanity website, "Proceeds are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in local communities and around the world." The Kenner operation
is owned by the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity affiliate.
Marsiglia Construction Company LLC of Harahan, LA was the Varco Pruden Builder. The project was design by L.K. Harmon, Architects, APAC, based in New Orleans.
Completed in March 2019, the facility is topped by Varco Pruden's SSR roofing in Cool Arctic White. Varco Pruden also supplied Cool Zinc Gray wall panels.
