The Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park brings a brand-new vibe to the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll. Vulcraft Group, supplier of steel joists, steel joist girders and steel decking, worked with Adena Corporation of Mansfield, Ohio to design, manufacture and erect this new entertainment venue.

Just 20 miles from Cleveland, this magnificent 250,000-square-foot gaming facility boasts an oversized open floor plan in the gaming areas and 135-foot long exposed double pitched, longspan joists in the concert venues. The porte-cochere consists of multi-levels of rolled structural steel, metal deck and 100-foot long box trusses, each of which weighs more than 38 tons.

The project used double pitched longspan joists, underslung joist girders and longspan joists. A 1.5B Steel Roof Deck was used in multiple gauges and a 1.5 VLI and 3.0 VLI composite steel floor deck was used.

For their work on the project, Adena Corporation was recognized as a winner of the 2014 NuHeights Design Awards by Vulcraft/Verco Group. The NuHeights Design Awards recognize outstanding design, architecture and the diverse applications of building with steel.
