Metal building systems are tailor made for projects with tight budgets and tighter time frames. That theorem was proven true in the recent construction of the Ed Yarbrough Indoor Tennis Center in Jasper, IN. The project was completed in September 2011 after just 90 days of work, at a cost of only $400,000.
Robertson Building Systems, through the Jasper Lumber Company Inc. of Jasper, supplied the metal building system. Measuring 110’ wide x 120’ long with eave heights of 23’, the building has a 3:12 double-sloping roof pitch and is clad with 26-gauge PBR roof and wall panels. The roof panels are unpainted Galvalume-coated steel and extend from ridge to eave without laps. The wall panels have an Ash Grey paint finish and likewise extend from the ridge to the base of the building without laps. The interior of the 13,200 sq. ft. building is column-free.
The building is owned by the Greater Jasper Consolidated School Corporation. In addition to its other duties, the Jasper Lumber Company developed the building’s design.
