Set in a breath-taking setting, the Grand Canyon Maintenance Facility in Arizona consists of multiple buildings that total 66,793 sq. ft. These office/maintenance structures used rigid frame metal building systems by VP Buildings.
Using Leaf Green SSR roofing and Classic Beige Panel Rib wall panels, all with KXL finishes, the buildings blend well with their surroundings. Clerestories at the ridges of each building allow natural light to enter. Log pole entries were also used to depict the forest surrounding the Grand Canyon.
The metal building contractor was Arizona Building Systems Inc. of Phoenix, AZ. The designer was Atkins Benham of Phoenix. The project is owned by the U.S. Federal Government.
