The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Rental Car Center is an immense project, measuring 700,000 sq. ft. and featuring continuous beam framing systems from VP Buildings.
The scope of the metal building portion of this project included structural systems for the roof of the third floor. There are 20’4” bays with columns attaching to 61’ carrier beams. All primary and secondary structural framing is galvanized and sawtoothed for air circulation.
Arizona Building Systems Inc. of Phoenix, AZ, was the metal building contractor. The designer was Transystems Corp. of Phoenix. The project owner is the City Of Phoenix.
