The Perrault Farms Harvesting hops processing facility in Toppenish, WA, is made up of four buildings supplied by Star Building Systems, totaling just under 60,000 sq. ft. Star’s DoubleLok standing seam profile in Light Stone color was used on the roof, while Star’s Desert Sand PBR panels were used on the walls, installed above exposed aggregate concrete tilt-up wainscot panels.

Building 2 of this project utilized 13’ to 15’ tilt-up panels in the interior space to form ten kiln rooms. Building 2 also features hot dipped galvanized primary steel to better manage high moisture levels generated from the hops processing and a 12’ wide x 4’ tall vented cupola that runs the full length of the 310’ building to allow moisture to escape . Building 1 has 35 LTP’s.

Over 30,000 sq. ft. of Star’s PBR liner panel was used in the project. Star also provided a mezzanine for second floor space.

The project utilized metal buildings for their ability to meet an accelerated construction schedule, while providing large open areas and cost efficiencies.

The Star Builder on this project was Concord Construction, Inc., Wapato, WA. They served as general contractor, designer and erector for the project.
