Star's Metal Building Framing Creates Facility For Vineyards

This structure for Bastoni Vineyards measures 35’ wide x 60’ long x 24’ high with a 2,100 sq. ft. metal roof installed on a 4:12 slope. A Star Building Systems metal building was chosen for its economy, low maintenance and durability and also the ability to achieve the clear span and height requirements.

The building features a 700 sq. ft. second level mezzanine with a plywood floor, insulated sliding barn doors on three walls, an upper sliding barn door providing access to an “I” beam with an electric winch to lift vineyard nets to mezzanine. The louvered cupolas on the roof are fully functional.

MBCI PBR roof panels in Polar White are beautifully accented by the white wood trim around the windows and barn doors. There is also a 2” x 12” accent band around the building to break up the height of the panels. The wall panels are also MBCI’s PBR profile, in Rustic Red.

The project is owned by Russ & Martha Messana. The Star Builder and general contractor was The Steel Building Guys of Santa Rosa, CA. The erector was Greg Tonks.
