Erik’s Bike Shop grew from a workshop in his parents’ backyard to an 18-store business employing more than 300 people. Thanks to The Renschler Group, an American Buildings Company (ABC) authorized Builder, Erik’s Bike Shop continues to grow successfully throughout the Midwest with a new store in Madison, Wisconsin.
Erik’s Bike Shop in Madison is a 10,500-square-foot single slope retail facility with a conventionally-framed radius roof over the main entrance area. The curved roof system is clad with Ultra-Batten red standing seam concealed-fastener panels, while the vertical wall surfaces under the curved roof and at the entrance sport Ultra-Rib silver horizontal concealed-fastener wall panels.
The main pre-engineered metal building surfaces include ABC Architectural III wall panels. The roof system has ABC Galvalume® Standing Seam roof panels. A free standing sign support system wraps around both north and east walls at the entrance area, which is painted bright red to match the decorative curved roof panels.
Headquartered in Madison, Wiscosin, The Renschler Group was awarded first place in the 2013 ABC Excellence in Design Awards in the “retail” category for their work on Erik’s Bike Shop. ABC’s Excellence in Design Awards recognizes builders and roofers for their innovation and distinction in design.
