Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation took the national stage on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” on Sunday, December 12, 2010, as the company donated its Stile metal roofing panels to the Gaston family residence in Pensacola, FL. Contrasting the stonework of the home and surrounded by Christmas lights, the roof tops off the house perfectly, exuding a warm and welcoming presence.
Metal Sales’ Stile metal roof is an architectural simulated clay-tile with a PVDF (Kynar 500®) finish. Applied over solid substrate with felt underlayment, the exposed direct-fastened panels are a great option for homeowners looking for the elegance of Spanish clay and the durability and cost-efficiency of a metal roof.
“We’re so proud to be a part of this incredible project,” said Steve Letnich, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Metal Sales. “With the holidays approaching, we wanted to give something back to the community, while at the same time showing the beauty and versatility of our product.”
The December 12, 2010 episode featured Finis Gaston, who after the death of his mother, moved back home to take care of his niece and nephews just one year before graduating from college. In honor of his sacrifice, “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” worked their magic on his family’s home, and even created a beautiful winter scene on the Pensacola, FL property. In just under 106 hours, the build team led by Heritage Homes completed construction of the brand new house, including a sustainable metal roof from Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation.
Donating to “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is nothing new for Metal Sales. They were involved in a build earlier in 2010, and also participated in another early in 2011. All metal roof materials are carefully selected by the project’s architects and must be of the highest quality to be considered for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” All contractors and installers must be nominated, based on a history of superior work.
