With more than eight buildings, the Gloucester County Dream Park in Logan Township, NJ totals 124,281 square feet. In addition to metal building framing by Star Building Systems, the facility utilized Star’s StarShield and DuraRib Roof Systems totaling 136,009 square feet, along with the DuraRib Walls totaling 42,776 square feet.

Completed in March 2008, the agricultural center’s eight buildings consist of a main arena, auction hall, concession link, two show stables, a residence stable, an apartment and a maintenance building.

The Dream Park utilized custom metal buildings due to the owner’s needs and the clear span requirements for the main arena, which includes a full length clerestory. The project contains very little conventional construction, limited to split face block on some walls, at limited heights.

The primary structure features a 150’ x 300’ indoor arena with bleacher seating for 600 spectators, and a separate arena for auctions, exhibits, or off season instructional clinics. This structure’s show barns accommodate up to 238 horses. The residence stable can accommodate up to 44 horses with three private warm-up and exercise rings.

Phase II of this Dream Park will feature 200 acres of trails for riding and cross country courses. The trails will allow riders to enjoy a scenic view while riding along Delaware River and Raccoon Creek.

The Star Builder and general contractor for the project was John D. Lawrence, Inc., Westville, NJ. The steel erector was Empire Services, LLC, Millville, NJ. The architect was Joseph F. McKernan, Jr. Architects, Cherry Hill, NJ.
