Quality and durability have been hallmarks of the Under Armour® brand since its founding in 1996. It's fitting then that Schweiss Doors—another maker of gold-standard products—was chosen to provide a custom designed hydraulic door for the main entrance to the ground level retail store at Under Armour's Baltimore, MD headquarters.

The one-piece hydraulic canopy door measures 28'-10" wide x 12' and is wind rated for 140 mph. Schweiss describes the door as both a door and a billboard as it is adorned with two lighted Under Armour logos that can be seen from miles away at night—regardless of whether the door is open or closed. Two Schweiss hydraulic cylinders—plenty powerful yet whisper-quiet—open and close the door, providing both weathertightness and security when needed.

The Under Armour door is yet another example of Schweiss Doors' ability to create designer doors for any application. "You think it — Schweiss will custom-build it!" is the company's motto, and with good reason. Schweiss designer doors in both bifold and hydraulic styles can be found in many surprising places—even in China! U.S. projects of note include the Red Bull headquarters in California and the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, but there are dozens more projects—each custom in terms of size and finish.
