Nucor Completes Acquisition Of Insulated Metal Panels Business From Cornerstone

Charlotte, NC - Nucor Corporation (NYSE: NUE) announces that it has successfully completed its acquisition of Cornerstone Building Brands' insulated metal panels (IMP) business. MCA Offers New White Paper On Meeting IBC Specs With Insulated Metal Panels

Chicago, IL – The Metal Construction Association (MCA) has made available the first of several releases of industry-standard guide specifications. The first release consists of two specifications, based on criteria applicable to IMPs captured within the International Building Code or IBC. The specifications, prepared by the Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) Alliance of MCA, are intended to assist designers in construction of project specifications of the International Building Code (IBC) 2018 version.

Equipment Finance Industry Confidence Higher In July

Washington, DC – The Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation (the Foundation) has released its July 2021 Monthly Confidence Index for the Equipment Finance Industry (MCI-EFI). The index reports a qualitative assessment of both the prevailing business conditions and expectations for the future as reported by key executives from the $900 billion equipment finance sector. Overall, confidence in the equipment finance market stands at 72.9, an increase from the June index of 71.3.

Quality And Craftsmanship Training Series For Metal Building Assemblers Being Updated

Bethlehem, PA - With support from the Ketenbrink Education Foundation (KEF), the metal construction industry will soon have updated tools for training new assemblers. KEF recently issued grant awards to Associated Builders and Contractors, Metal Buildings Institute, and Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association. Demand For Design Services Remains High According To Latest AIA Survey

Washington, DC – Architecture firms reported increasing demand for design services in June according to a new report from The American Institute of Architects (AIA). AIA’s Architecture Billings Index (ABI) score for June remained at an elevated level of 57.1 (any score above 50 indicates an increase in billings). It was 58.5 in May and 57.9 in April.
