Totaling 20,293 square feet, the Lichtfield Water Treatment Plant in Lichtfield, IL features a metal building system from Star Building Systems, as well as MBCI’s BattenLok HS roof system along with MBCI’s NuWall and PBU wall systems. Completed in December 2008, this structure also incorporated conventional construction.

The water treatment plant project was able to utilize a custom Star metal building in the processing area along with conventional construction in the tech center. The pump station incorporated CMU block along with an MBCI Double-Lok roof. The tech center utilized structural steel with CMU block, metal wall panels and an MBCI Double-Lok roof. An EPDM roof connects the tech center to the Star pre-engineered metal building.

The Star Builder and general contractor for this project was Leander Land Company, Inc., Canton, IL. The steel erector was C-Way Fabrication & Erection, Washington, IL. The architect was Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., Springfield, IL.
