The new 100-member Army Reserve Center in Tallahassee, Fla., doesn’t look like a typical military installation. The 23,000 sq. ft. building, highlighted by roofing from Petersen, offers a contemporary appearance that is in keeping with today’s modern Army.
Contributing to the contemporary look is a sleek design by CH2M Hill that offers a large semi-circle entrance that is roofed with Petersen’s Tapered Snap-Clad Panels. “It’s an interesting and cool application of this tried-and-true PAC-CLAD product,” said Dave Landis, Petersen’s architectural/technical sales manager.
Approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of Snap-Clad tapered panels were fabricated at Petersen’s Acworth, Ga., plant, for this project. Another 20,000 sq. ft. of traditional Snap-Clad panels were used on the remainder of the roof. The 24 gauge panels were finished in 3-coat Hemlock Green.
