Meadowvale Exchange

Canada's industrial sector remains strong, especially in Ontario where new facilities continue to be developed. Among the latest completed are a pair of buildings for Meadowvale Exchange, a high-profile industrial site located in the heart of Meadowvale, a large suburban district in the northwestern part of Mississauga, Ontario. The two structures feature insulated metal wall panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels.

Canopy By Hilton Tempe Downtown

The fight song for Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe is integral to school pride. Architect Allen + Philp Partners, Scottsdale, Ariz., included the notes of the fight song on the new Canopy by Hilton Tempe Downtown, located across the street from ASU. The notes are expressed in a specific design layout and the colors of the metal wall panel façade, specifically the StoPanel® Classic NExT ci and StoPanel® Dri-Design.

Scioto Peninsula Skywalk

A skywalk was installed to connect two buildings within the Scioto Peninsula neighborhood of downtown Columbus, Ohio. The creative use of perforated metal and angular supports in the skywalk’s design resulted in an attractive addition to its surroundings. The perforated side panels - manufactured by ATAS International - allow for air circulation and sightlines, creating a feeling of openness and continuity while moving from building to building.

Hope Plaza Outpatient Center

City of Hope’s new outpatient center, Hope Plaza, is a beacon of light in Duarte, California, blending world-class cancer care with an architectural vision that reflects its mission and the surrounding natural beauty. The building’s design, featuring Lorin’s Light Bronze anodized aluminum, seamlessly integrates the facility with its environment while symbolizing resilience and care.

Near Ohio’s southern border, Brad and Jenny (last name withheld per request) are proud owners of two exceptional buildings: a five-sided hangar and a newly constructed home which both feature doors from Schweiss Doors.

West Bedford School

Bedford, Nova Scotia has seen extreme population growth over the last few years due to its historic charm, scenic waterfront views, and famous natural harbor. To accommodate this growth, Architecture49 designed what is now the largest public school in Nova Scotia: West Bedford School. To help the new educational facility stand up to the sometimes severe weather, the firm clad the school with insulated metal panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels.

Melissa (TX) Public Safety Building

In the 10 years between the 2010 and 2020 census, the City of Melissa, Texas, saw its population jump from 4,700 to almost 14,000. To accommodate the growing need of services for the community, the city constructed a new 40,000-square-foot public safety building to house its central fire station, fire administration, police headquarters and municipal court. Integral to the complex's design were zinc panels fabricated by Sheet Metal Supply.

GreenHouse Short North

GreenHouse Short North, a new seven-story, mixed-use development with 158 units in the Short North area of Columbus, OH, has an impressive list of amenities to draw tenants. And it has the looks to match. Featured on the project's exterior is 64,000 square feet of Omega-Lite® by Laminators Incorporated.

Bombardier Global Manufacturing Centre

When Bombardier announced plans to build a new aircraft assembly plant at the Toronto Pearson International Airport, it wanted the new $400 million facility to represent the company's commitment to sustainability. Fittingly, the new building's envelope is comprised of insulated metal panel systems from Kingspan Insulated Panels.

Phoenix West

Techo Tile in Mission Red was used to retrofit the existing storm damaged roof of the Phoenix West condo development in Orange Beach, AL. The project received first-place honors for the commercial roofs category of ATAS International's 2023 Project Of The Year competition.

Simonson Hangar

A new 64-foot by 64-foot private-use residential hangar, recently built by Peter C. Schmidt Construction and owned by Merri Ann Simonson, is located near Roche Harbor Airport on San Juan Island, WA. The hangar has a 60-foot wide, 18-foot tall bifold liftstrap door from Schweiss Doors. It has an automatic arm latch system.

Fishkill Recreation

Recurring roof leaks were becoming a problem with the original standing seam metal roof at the Fishkill (NY) Recreation building. To address the problem, the town opted for a Roof Hugger sub-framing system where the original roofing panels stay in place. The Roof Hugger sub-purlins fit over the seams of the 25-year-old metal panels and are attached through the old roof and into the original roof structural framing system.

VyStar Parking Garage On Forsyth

The growing Florida-based credit union VyStar made a significant decision to move its headquarters from Jacksonville’s suburbs to the city’s downtown, which thrilled civic leaders but also raised some questions. Among the most important of these was where, exactly, 600 to 700-plus commuting employees were going to park. The answer to this particular conundrum turned out to be a new 7-level parking garage featuring PAC-CLAD metal panels by Petersen.

Finland-based Vaisala, a global leader in weather, environmental, and industrial measurements, embarked on a visionary project to erect a cutting-edge U.S. headquarters in Louisville, Colorado, showcasing its unwavering dedication to sustainability. S-5!, a global leader in metal roof attachments, helped them to achieve their goals.

Paseo South Gulch

Located in the heart of Nashville, TN, Paseo South Gulch is a lively new destination in one of Nashville’s most desirable neighborhoods. This dynamic project includes two new towers creating over 600 residential units, 18,000 sq. ft. of office space, and 14,000 sq. ft. of retail space. Featured on the project, lending a sophisticated design element, were Thermolite SE panels from Laminators Incorporated.

LUMCON Blue Works

The LUMCON Blue Works innovation hub in Houma, Louisiana is noteworthy for its ark-like design and the blue-hued aluminum panels that wrap its visually elevated front side. Beneath those cladding panels is Kingspan's innovative KarrierPanel insulated metal backer panel system, offering both energy efficiency and speed of installation.

Raleigh Iron Works

One of the recent draws to North Carolina's Research Triangle is capitalizing on architecture from the area’s history. The Raleigh Iron Works, a remake of an old iron foundry district, opened in 2023 to resounding success. Its design, not surprisingly, leans heavily on its past, making ample use of architectural metal roof and wall panels from Petersen to emphasize its industrial history.

IBM Bromont Plant

The IBM Bromont plant in Bromont, QC, Canada, opened in 1972. Over 50 years later, the facility continues to be a leader in innovation, technology and continuous improvement. In 2015, IBM Bromont installed 3,000 sq. ft. of InSpire solar air heating metal wall panels - manufactured by ATAS International Inc. - and a new 2,000 sq. ft. InSpire® wall was installed in October 2023.

McCown Gordon Construction Headquarters

McCown Gordon Construction, a general contractor in Kansas City, MO, recently moved out of a 1919 downtown building that it had called home since it renovated the space in 2005. The company’s new headquarters is a renovated Catholic Charities structure that had been vacant. The design transformed the building into an open and modern headquarters with a façade to match, enhanced by Anodized Aluminum Dri-Design wall panels.
