Carros Metal Concepts Headquarters

Villa Rica, a city about 30 miles outside of Atlanta, Georgia, is known for its raised sidewalks, crepe myrtles and historic downtown. In January 2022, the quaint city gained a stunning modern addition – Carros Metal Concepts' (CMC) new headquarters. This attractive building features an array of metal construction products, including a number manufactured by Kingspan Insulated Panels North America.

Dumbo Heights Development

Work is completed on an elaborate project to transform the former home of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Watchtower district into a sleek office/retail and high-tech campus complex, renamed Dumbo Heights. Anchored at the nexus of the Brooklyn Tech Triangle and a thriving art district, Dumbo Heights is poised to become the area’s most sought after destination. It's also another showcase project for Schweiss Doors.

FreezPak Logistics

FreezPak Logistics recently opened its fifth state-of-the-art freezer warehouse facility. Completed in October 2021 and located in Elizabeth, NJ, the building is noteworthy for its 75-foot height and the 72'-tall insulated metal panels utilized for its walls. They were manufactured by Metl-Span at the company's Prince George, Virginia plant.

Data Processing Center

A former Stanley Black & Decker Hand Tools manufacturing plant in downtown New Britain, CT has a new high-tech purpose. And thanks to the retrofitting of its old exterior with Thermolite glazing panels from Laminators Incorporated, it has a new look too.

Metric Apartments

Creating mid-rise apartment buildings that are both affordable and attractive can be a challenge. Mixing color and material palettes along with façade profiles and depths offers one option for boosting appeal without challenging profit margins. This is the option chosen by designers of the new Metric Apartments in Minneapolis in their plans for the five-story structure, with metal wall panels from Petersen playing a featured role in the effort.

Ryerson Steel

Cornice Construction LLC of Warren, Oregon was awarded the American Buildings 2023 Building of the Year Excellence in Design Award in the Manufacturing/Industrial category for the Ryerson Steel project in Centralia, WA. This 212,000 sq. ft. structure is home to Ryerson Steel's newest state-of-the-art metal distribution and steel processing facility.

CFB Borden Mechanical Engineering And Training Building

Supplying doors for military bases is nothing new for Schweiss Doors. The company has been doing it for years. Although Canadian Forces Base Borden (CFB Borden) didn’t have a need for specialty blast-proof doors that many base projects require, a recent building expansion project for its training school called for the type of bifold and hydraulic doors that Schweiss Doors is known for.

Richmond Fournier Inc.

Richmond Fournier Inc. of Saint-Adrien-D’Irlande, Quebec, Canada won the first-place award in the sustainable category in ATAS International’s 2021 project of the year competition. InSpire HP solar air heating wall panels in Select Blue .032 aluminum were installed on this project. Fournier Industries Group Inc. is a leader in its field, active in the water treatment, mining, aluminum, hydropower, and industrial industries.

Limetree Beach Club

Hurricanes devastated properties across the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2017, including the Bluebeard Beach Club resort on St. Thomas. The destruction was seen as an opportunity to rebuild better and rebrand the development. The renamed Limetree Beach Club has since reopened, with new amenities and upgraded PAC-CLAD Tite-Loc Plus metal roof panels from Petersen featuring an Interstate Blue finish.

SK Battery America

To meet the increasing demand for lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, SK Battery America has established a new production facility in Commerce, GA. To ensure the factory building is as energy efficient as EVs are intended to be, the exterior walls of the massive facility were clad with insulated metal panels from Kingspan.

Sailfish Point Home

Sailfish Point, Florida, is a small island near Port St. Lucie and West Palm Beach. It is surrounded by beautiful blue skies and pure saltwater. Homeowners located there were looking to replace their roof that had been installed approximately 20 years before, and they asked Total Roofing Systems to help them. This led to the selection of blue Tedlar® PVF film laminated onto aluminum.

3 Maple Parking Garage

The parking garage at 3 Maple in Essex Junction, VT won the first-place award in the accents category in ATAS International’s 2021 project of the year competition. Custom perforated panels in Regal Blue .125 aluminum were installed on this building.

4/Way House

Deegan-Day Design & Architecture designed the 4/Way House as a weekend retreat to maximize natural scenic views, while taking a protective stance against the elements including wildfire. Sitting on 2.5 acres atop a southeast-facing ridge in the Santa Monica Mountains, the 2,250-square-foot single-family home is located in a California community called Skyhawk Lane in Topanga, near Malibu.

Logan Airport Terminal E

The goal of the Logan Airport Terminal E modernization was to “create a sustainable, high-performance, resilient and resource efficient building that is a comfortable and healthy environment for passengers and workers alike.” The scope of work included the addition of four new gates, including three approved in 1995 but never constructed. For visual appeal, the terminal features 400,000 sq. ft. of aluminum composite material from Alucoil North America.

Lake Belton High School

The new Lake Belton High School in Temple, Texas, features an exterior design that mixes traditional and contemporary materials – and which mirrors the forward-thinking educational programs happening within its walls. Metal wall panels, supplied by Petersen in two different profiles, are key elements of the design.

TIDE Academy

Safe, engaging, enriching, interactive. This is the design basis of TIDE Academy (Technology, Innovation, Design and Engineering) in Menlo Park, CA. TIDE Academy is a STEM high school that utilizes Dri-Design Perforated Series Panels as both sunscreen and ornamental railing on portions of the building.

Beranek Shop Building

Craig Beranek knew from years of witnessing doors from Schweiss Doors in action, that someday, he would be ordering one for himself. That day came with the construction of a new cold storage building with an additional connected shop at his rural Lafayette, MN, home. His 18' x 16' bifold liftstrap door features a pair of 4' x 3' windows, an automatic strap latch system, remote opener and Schweiss interlocking insulation.

Swire Coca-Cola Product Storage Building

Swire Coca-Cola needed more storage space and came up with the idea of renovating an aging facility on its grounds in Denver, CO. The trick was converting this old building, with abandoned rail access and no efficient loading dock access, into a functionally efficient, modern-looking facility at a reasonable cost. Insulated metal panels (IMPs) from Metl-Span, installed as roofing and a composite wall system, helped complete the successful project.

Westerville Residence

The rehab of a beautiful private residence in Westerville, OH received first place honors in the residential walls category in ATAS International’s 2021 project of the year competition. Opaline panels in Matte Black .040 aluminum, in a 6” width, were chosen by the architect who is also the homeowner.
