Farone & Son Inc. Funeral Home

The Farone & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Liverpool, NY won first place in the commercial roofs category in ATAS International’s 2021 project of the year competition. Dutch Seam panels in Classic Bronze .032 aluminum were installed on the roof.

Lifeguard Arena

The American Hockey League's Henderson Silver Knights team has a new practice facility in downtown Henderson, Nevada to go with a new home game facility. Called Lifeguard Arena, the structure features a dynamic façade design that makes good use of the bold imagery that metal panels from Petersen's PAC-CLAD line can bring to building exteriors.

Gila River Indian Community District 3 Multipurpose Center

Staying connected and building community are central to the culture of the Gila River Indian Community in Sacaton, Ariz. The recently built 48,577-square-foot Gila River Indian Community District 3 multipurpose building gives the community an opportunity to express its values and gather in a central location. Curves, reflecting the spatial elements of time, life and wellness, were created with Flex-C Trac from Flex-Ability Concepts.

Lucy Hangar

It was the natural beauty of Texas Hill Country that drew Bill Lucy and his wife, Cheron, to build their new home in Fredericksburg. And it was quality and reputation that prompted Lucy to outfit his newly built hangar with a premium-quality liftstrap bifold door from Schweiss Doors.

Parkview Health Systems

From a medical facilities standpoint, the new $58 million, 58,000 sq. ft. Orthopedic Hospital for Parkview Health Systems in Pueblo, Colorado is state of the art. Its modernity is aptly expressed through an exterior design that includes numerous colors of Omega-Lite® ACM panels by Laminators Inc. of Hatfield. PA.

Lake Huron Retreat

Architecture firm Booth Hansen designed a private retreat on the forested shores of Lake Huron in Ontario. The owners sought to maximize the views and access to outdoors, while remaining good stewards of the land. The 7-acre setting hosts a cluster of standalone "cabins" connected by weathertight walkways. Cladding those cabins is zinc, manufactured by RHEINZINK America and supplied by Sheet Metal Supply Ltd. of Grayslake, IL.

The latest addition to Wichita State University’s aptly named Innovation Campus is, itself, a model of innovation – specifically, manufacturing innovation. Dubbed “The Smart Factory,” the structure features metal products from Petersen.

The Mastlight

The Mastlight at Union Point, a LEED Silver Certified apartment building, contributed to the transformative redevelopment of the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station, in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. ATAS International's Versa-Lok metal panels in two colors, Titanium and Classic Bronze, manufactured in .040 aluminum, were selected for use on the project.

Broad Street Self-Storage

In the planning and construction of the Broad Street Self-Storage Facility in San Luis Obispo, CA, the focus was on community...and specifically how the project would fit into it. Thanks to the incorporation of metal roofing and wall panels from McElroy Metal for the project's design, the new business blends nicely into its surroundings.

St. George Hangar

Throughout his decades in construction, Jim St. George was known for his ability to solve problems and for the quality of his work. In the door industry, Schweiss Doors has that same reputation, so it's no real surprise that St. George was drawn to Schweiss when looking for doors for his newly renovated/expanded airplane hangar.

Net Zero Home

Piscataway, New Jersey, will now and forever be known as the home of a unique, one of a kind, residential net zero energy structure appropriately named “The Net Zero Home”. Designed and built as a pilot project by Suntuity Home (in partnership with Square Center LLC Architecture and Design and Englert Inc.) the nearly 6,000 square foot home was built with sustainability, energy efficiency and comfort in mind.

Landmeier Road Office Building

Elk Grove Village, IL, is offering facelift incentives to the owners of aging buildings within an industrial park developed in the 1960s. Architectural Panel Systems recently completed one of the first exterior upgrades, installing products fabricated by Sheet Metal Supply.

Mino-Bimaadiziwin Apartments

With a name that translates roughly from the Chippewa Ojibwe language as “live the good life,” the Mino-Bimaadiziwin apartment building in Minneapolis is helping 110 American Indian families, primarily from the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians, do just that. The project was developed to address the housing shortage among the city’s American Indian citizens and provide added social support. Its façade features metal wall panels from Petersen.

Austin E. Knowlton Center

The Austin E. Knowlton Center at Baldwin Wallace University is a 46,800 sq. ft. facility designed by architects at The Collaborative, Toledo, OH with input from various STEM industry experts. Besides meeting ambitious programmatic requirements, the architect created a fitting look for the new building through its incorporation of ACM panels from Laminators Inc. inside and out.

Essex County West Caldwell School Of Technology

The $30 million renovation of the Essex County West Caldwell School of Technology in West Caldwell, NJ, included building a two-story addition to the front of the school, retrofitting existing space to accommodate current and new curriculum, and creating an outdoor courtyard. In addition to updates for classrooms, laboratories and the cafeteria, the exterior received a facelift, which included metal panels from CENTRIA.

Chandler Aviation

As a severe thunderstorm rolled across the Arizona landscape, a microburst came crashing down from the sky in a blast of rain, hail and wind. One of the buildings in its blast path was Chandler Aviation. The damage to the building was extensive. Its hangar door was ruined. As part of the repairs, the building was outfitted with a new, stronger door from Schweiss Doors.

The Skating Club Of Boston

When great design meets great execution, projects like The Skating Club of Boston in Norwood, MA, are the end result. The ice arena’s dynamic design combines exterior-grade laminated wood paneling with 50,000 sq. ft. of high-efficiency Noroc and Norex-L insulated metal panels from Norbec to create an exterior envelope for the large building that is both attractive and energy efficient.

Galvion Manufacturing And Office Facility

To say Galvion produces glasses would not do the company justice. Galvion “utilizes a robust design to deliver protective eyewear solutions that save lives” for use by the military and law enforcement. The company’s new manufacturing and office facility in Portsmouth, NH, constructed with insulated metal panels from Metl-Span, reflects that bold and durable design.

Sea Crest Condos

Tedlar® PVF film was selected as a protective roofing material for the Sea Crest Condos in Hilton Head, South Carolina in 2022. The project includes a 6-story building, constructed approximately 20 years prior, which sits directly on the beach of the Atlantic Ocean. The existing steel roof panels and framing of the building were severely corroded and the owner was looking for a long-term solution to withstand an extremely corrosive environment.

Hibbeler Kitchen Renovation

When Adam Hibbeler, equipment administrator at SAK Construction, O’Fallon, Mo., renovated his own home’s kitchen, he created a curved range hood with Flex-C Arch by Flex-Ability Concepts. The 86-year-old house has a Spanish style with many arches throughout the home, so Hibbeler's remodeling plan was to pull those arches into the kitchen.
