1010 On The Rhine

Dubbed 1010 On The Rhine, a mixed-use structure in Cincinnati features classical skyscraper massing that helps it fit into the surrounding historic district, and a unique metal panel and glass façade that makes sure it stands out in the city’s skyline. Petersen supplied approximately 44,000 sq. ft. of Flush Panels in .040-gauge aluminum for the project, in a variety of finishes.

Solar Atmospheres

Solar Atmospheres of California (SCA), located in Fontana, CA, provides state-of-the-art vacuum thermal processing services. In response to the challenges of California’s energy market, SCA commissioned and installed the state’s largest commercial solar + energy storage system. Products from Colorado Springs, CO-based S-5! played a key role in helping bring the project to fruition.

Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium Expansion

The University of Texas at Austin opened its 2021 Longhorns football season by debuting its new south end zone expansion that enclosed the horseshoe configuration of Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium. Aluminum composite material from 3A Composites USA was used with this project.

Cook Hangar

Ray Cook is a retired American Airlines pilot of 40 years, who now winters in Lake Placid, Fla., and spends his summer days at his home in Spring Grove, Ill. He has Schweiss Doors bifold liftstrap doors on hangars at both locations.

Matilija Junior High School Gymnasium

Sometimes in roofing, it's okay to just roll with it. In Garland representative Jason Moronnolte’s case, field roll-forming steel panels on site was the perfect solution to conquer the tight barrel curved roof on the Matilija Junior High School Gymnasium in Ojai, California.

McDonough House

Set on a 90-acre woodland overlooking the Tennessee River, McDonough House is the first new structure in more than 30 years built at Loghaven Artist Residency in Knoxville, Tennessee. Reflecting the evolving landscape and the original cabins' historical style, the McDonough House features RHEINZINK-prePATINA® graphite-grey zinc material. The material is a product of RHEINZINK America Inc., Woburn, MA.

Nashville International Airport Concourse D

The 115,000-square-foot Concourse D at Nashville International Airport opened in July 2020 with six new aircraft gates for domestic travelers. The new terminal has the latest traveler amenities but that's only the half of it. The terminal is also LEED® Silver certified, thanks in part to the use of insulated metal panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels North America for its construction.

PrairieCare Medical Group

PrairieCare Medical Group opened its 10th facility in Rochester, Minnesota in late 2019. A primary design emphasis was on providing plentiful natural daylight, which is made evident from the front façade’s extensive glazing. To frame the glazing and add some calming counterpoint to that elevation’s pattern and color, designers opted for neutral-toned metal flush and relief wall panels from Petersen.

Mueller Residential Hangar

Andrew and Carri Ann Mueller of Palmer, Alaska, live in a pilot’s dream home. In addition to having a spectacular view of nearby Pioneer Peak, the residence has a hangar out behind it, with direct runway access. When it’s time to get the planes out or put them away, the couple can count on their Schweiss Doors bifold liftstrap door to make it easy.

Central Pennsylvania Clinic

Donated time and materials made possible the construction of the Central Pennsylvania Clinic, a non-profit medical home for special children and adults. But that doesn't mean it isn't built right. The clinic is topped with a long-lasting metal roof that's equipped with one of the best snow retention systems on the market: ColorGard from S-5!.

Adirondack Mountain Car Barn

Collectors eventually want to display their collection. A classic car enthusiast wanted a state-of-the-art facility in the Adirondack Mountains of New York; a “green” building to showcase his stable of Fords and Packards. To help the facility be energy efficient, insulated metal panels (IMPs) from Metl-Span were chosen for the roofing and walls.

CrownAir Aviation

A growing presence at the right time can mean so much to a company. CrownAir Aviation, a full-service fixed base operator (FBO) at Montgomery Executive Airport, has learned this during its 70-year history. CrownAir Aviation recently added an FBO office and two hangars to its site. One entrance to the office building features a curved arch created with Flex-C Trac and Flex-C Angle from Flex-Ability Concepts.

Sevier County Utility District

Based in the county seat of Sevierville, Tennessee, the Sevier County Utility District serves more than 14,000 customers in Sevier and adjacent Blount counties. When the utility, which is also an agency of the county’s government, determined it needed a new employee training facility, it decided the new structure should offer amenities to the broader community, as well. Featured prominently are a variety of metal panels by Petersen.

Metalwërks®, a manufacturer of plate exterior façade systems, played a pivotal role in the expansion of Grand Central Station in New York City. Customized cladding products helped designers and installers to address specific challenges presented by the expansion.

Lot H Parking Garage

In ATAS International’s annual project of the year competition, the Lot H Parking Garage in Wilmington, DE took first place in the accents category for 2020. The architect for this project was Bernardon of Wilmington, DE, and the perforated metal panels were installed by A&H Metals, Inc. of Newark, DE.

City Of San Marcos Public Service Complex

With a desire to bring city agencies to a modern centralized location, the City of San Marcos, Texas, constructed nine buildings on a single site. A consistent design element throughout the new Public Service Complex was metal roofing, wall panels and components from MBCI.

Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum

The Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum in Atchison, KS, houses a rare replica of the plane Earhart flew. What is not a replica is the hangar's door. It was manufactured for the project by Schweiss Doors of Fairfax, MN. The star attraction is the last surviving Lockheed Electra 10-E airplane, one of only 14 ever made. It is identical to the aircraft Earhart flew on her fateful journey and attempt to be the first woman to ever circumnavigate the world.

McHenry West High School Addition

The addition at McHenry West High School in McHenry, Ill., became necessary with the consolidation of 10th through 12th graders at the west campus. The new area would focus on “science, technology and industry offering college and career-oriented pathways.” CENTRIA’s Formawall Dimension Series building envelope system, in five colors, helped create a unique aesthetic for the addition.

Bricklayers Local 5

The Bricklayers Local 5 of Valley View, Ohio, knew what it was getting into when purchasing a property with two existing buildings, both with failing asphalt shingle roofs. The union’s first order of business after acquiring the buildings was to solve the roofing problem with a more permanent solution and ultimately selected the McElroy Metal 138T symmetrical standing seam system.

Houston Community College Culinary Arts Building

Those who feel called into the culinary world have many educational options, including Houston Community College’s Culinary Arts Program. Established in 1982, the program has consistently grown every year, requiring a new state-of-the-art space. Aesthetics and durability in a rainscreen system influenced the design team of Stanec, Houston, to select Dri-Design’s Shadow Series panels for the HCC Culinary Arts building.
