AGC Analysis Shows Construction Employment Rebounding In May

Arlington, VA - Construction employment rebounded from April to May in 45 states and the District of Columbia, following the loss of nearly one million construction jobs nationwide in April, but the gains may be short-lived. That's the takeaway from the Associated General Contractors of America, based on government data and a survey the association has conducted.

Construction Employment Sees Record Rebound In May, Says ABC

Washington, DC - The construction industry added 464,000 net new jobs in May, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. May represented the largest monthly increase in construction jobs since the government began tracking employment in 1939, a drastic improvement from April, which recorded the industry’s largest month-over-month job loss.
