AIA's Latest Billings Index Shows Midwest Sector To Be Strongest

Washington, DC — The AIA/Deltek Architecture Billings Index (ABI) remained below 50 for December, indicating soft business conditions to close out 2023. The score of 45.4 remained essentially flat from November. Any score below 50.0 indicates decreasing business conditions but there are encouraging signs of the pipeline.

Equipment Finance Industry Confidence Jumps In January

Washington, DC — The Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation (the Foundation) has released its January 2024 Monthly Confidence Index for the Equipment Finance Industry (MCI-EFI). The index reports a qualitative assessment of both the prevailing business conditions and expectations for the future as reported by key executives from the $1 trillion equipment finance sector. Overall, confidence in the equipment finance market is 48.6, an increase from the December index of 42.5.

ATAS Announces Retirement Of Key Team Member Dave Weidl

Construction Industry Adds 17,000 Workers In December

Arlington, VA - The construction sector added 17,000 employees in December and continued to raise wages at a faster clip than other industries, the Associated General Contractors of America reported in an analysis of most recent government data. Association officials said the survey it released this week found contractors expect to hire more employees in 2024 but are struggling to find enough qualified workers.
