Construction Employment Increased By 14,000 Jobs In August

Arlington, VA - Construction employment increased by 14,000 jobs in August and by 177,000, or 2.4 percent, over the past 12 months, while the number of unemployed jobseekers with construction experience remained near historic lows, according to an analysis of new government data by the Associated General Contractors of America.

AIA's Billings Index Measures Positive In July

Washington, DC – Demand for design services in July remained essentially flat in comparison to the previous month, according to a new report released from The American Institute of Architects (AIA). AIA’s Architecture Billings Index (ABI) score of 50.1 in July showed a small increase in design services since June, which was a score of 49.1.
