Heart Of The City Health Center

The Heart of the City Health Center serves as the new home for the Ferguson Adult Health Center and Grand Rapid Pediatrics. A consolidation of three separate healthcare providers, this joint venture will provide primary healthcare services to an additional 8,000 low-income individuals in the area annually. CENTRIA products are prominent elements of the facility’s design.

Furniture Row Renovations

It’s out with the old and in with the new for Furniture Row Companies. The parent company of Denver Sofa Mart, Oak Express, Denver Mattress, and Bedroom Expressions is getting rid of the weathered wooden planks used around the entrances at many of its stores and replacing them with sleek, modern metal composite panels. The supplier of the aluminum composite panels used in multiple locations so far is Laminators Inc. of Hatfield, PA.

Iglesia Bautista Bethel Addition

The new sanctuary at the Iglesia Bautista Bethel in Hialeah, FL, will safely weather the severe tropical storms prevalent in South Florida, with the assistance of a building envelope protected by Reynobond® with KEVLAR® and Reynobond Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) by Alcoa Architectural Products. It was designed by Jerry Clawson Architects of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL, in collaboration with architect/interior designer Ignacio Gonzalez of Miami, FL.

Mossman-Nguyen Residence

Metal Building Company (MBC), an authorized American Buildings Company (ABC) Builder, built a residence for the Mossman-Nguyen family, diverging from their conventional metal building structures. In five months, MBC and the general contractor, KS Design Build, combined the traditional pre-engineered design with custom residential features.

San Jacinto College Allied Health and Natural Sciences Building

While sustainability ranks high on the list of qualities architects seek, durability is equally important. It’s great when building materials are green, but it doesn’t matter if they aren't also able to withstand wear and tear. The fabricators at Byrne Metals knew that wouldn’t be a problem at San Jacinto College, where ALPOLIC aluminum composite panels had been chosen for the school’s new allied health and natural sciences building.

Frank H. Mazza Pavilion

The Frank H. Mazza Pavilion is a senior living community in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania that includes 30 apartments, a private outdoor courtyard and communal space in the main lobby area. This facility was designed to improve the quality of life for its senior citizen and disabled residents. The building’s exterior, highlighted by products from CENTRIA, was designed to blend with its surrounding neighborhood.

Henry Ford Community College Science Building Addition

A 19,000 sq. ft. addition to the Science Building at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, MI provides much needed space for the school’s science department. The expansion includes four new laboratories and two new classrooms. Incorporated into the addition’s exterior design is 13,000 sq. ft. of DRI-DESIGN rainscreen wall panels, fabricated from 1mm-thick VMZINC® Anthra Zinc® and Quartz Zinc®.

New Hope Ice Arena Renovations

Like many community ice arenas across the country, the New Hope Ice Arena in New Hope, Minnesota, needed some major renovations. The facility, built in the 1970s during a nationwide boom in the construction of community ice arenas, still had its original ice rink. As part of the renovations, the facility is now covered with a new standing seam roof system from The Garland Company Inc.

FDNY Marine 1 Firehouse

Eblen Intermediate School

Buncombe County Schools in Asheville, NC sought to relieve overcrowding in eight existing schools with the simultaneous construction of two new intermediate (grades 5-6) schools. The twin 107,000 sq. ft. facilities are identical in design and offer students a unique sense of discovery. Eblen Intermediate School utilizes a colorful variety of PAC-CLAD profiles from Petersen.

Local Restaurant

Three sisters and a veteran local chef have combined to create one of the most ambitious restaurant projects that Oklahoma has seen in years. Located in Norman, OK and known as Local, the 10,000 sq. ft. restaurant offers a farm-to-fork concept with a unique emphasis on family dining. Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital

In April 2012, Igloo Erectors finished their work as fabricators and installers of the ALPOLIC aluminum composite material (ACM) panel system on the new Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. The new state-of-the-art facility replaces a 47-year-old structure approximately one-third the size. The ACM to which the new health care facility owes its good looks was manufactured by Mitsubishi Plastics Composites America of Chesapeake, VA, and supplied by VICWEST.

Central Ohio Metal Roof Retrofit

A metalcasting plant in Central Ohio was the site of a different kind of roof retrofit in late 2012 when TopHat Framing Systems’ new Quik-Clip system was employed to facilitate the installation of a new Metal Sales metal roof over an old corrugated transite deck.
