101 Bedford Avenue

Luxury and spaciousness were top of mind for Karl Fischer Architects, the New York City design firm responsible for 101 Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. The 351-unit building, which covers nearly the entire block, is located just across the street from a park and is one subway stop away from the city. Surrounding the top of the building are Omega-Lite aluminum composite panels from Laminators Incorporated of Hatfield, PA.

Northern Arizona University Dining Hall Expansion

When time and money are tight, you go with what you know and trust. Jason Boyer, AIA, LEED AP BD+C and Benjamin Mullings, LEED AP BD+C of Jason Boyer Architects (JBA) in Phoenix had previously worked on the award-winning Health and Learning Center project at Northern Arizona University, completed in 2011 while at OWP/P Cannon Design. That project included corrugated panels and perforated corrugated panels from Morin, A Kingspan Group Company.

Tennessee Packaging Company

The new facility for Tennessee Packaging Company in Loudon, TN is impressive throughout. It sports clean lines on the exterior with its sleek metal wall panels on the manufacturing area, and architectural metal roofing and exposed structural steel at the main entry. Metal systems from Varco Pruden Buildings were used to create the 157,503 sq. ft. facility.

University Of Dayton 1700 South Patterson Building

A Dri-Design Wall Panel System has helped turn the 1700 South Patterson Building on the University of Dayton's River Campus into a stunning academic and research building. While interior renovations transformed the structure into usable university space, the building’s exterior was reclad with metal panels from Dri-Design in two phases during 2012 and 2013, with work finishing in October 2013. This renovation added an earthy, inviting feel to the building while eliminating safety concerns.

Bavaria S.A.

Air pollution from dust, soot and smoke from diesel vehicles is an ongoing issue in Bogotá, Colombia, the second largest city in South America, and home to over 1.5 million cars and over 100,000 public service vehicles that use diesel fuel. To withstand such an environment, the new Bavaria S.A. corporate headquarters was clad with Reynobond® Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) finished with Alcoa Architectural Products’ (AAP) groundbreaking EcoClean™ coating.

Village Of Wellington Municipal Complex

The Village of Wellington Municipal Complex in Wellington, FL is a two-story, 54,000 square foot, tilt-wall structure that achieved LEED Gold certification for implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. Among them was the choice of roofing: standing seam metal from Englert Inc.

Stepping Stones Preschool

As the first building to greet parents and students when they arrive at Ancillae Assumpta Academy in Wyncote, Pennsylvania, Stepping Stones Preschool is a playful and educational example of architecture and construction. CastleTop (HCT160) 0.032-inch aluminum wall panels from ATAS International were used in a Rawhide color (2,120 sq. ft.) and Regal Blue color (159 sq. ft.) to create a “Dr. Seuss-like appearance” on the sloped walls.

AB&W Building

Metal Sales™ roof and wall panels balance the old and new at the AB&W Building at 157 Washington Street in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood. The former auto showroom and candy factory site was redeveloped as a mixed-use building with retail and housing units.

NYPD Precinct 121

Staten Island is the fastest growing borough in New York City and the newly completed Precinct 121 serves as the face of the New York Police Department there. The precinct building was designed by acclaimed architect Rafael Vinoly Architects of New York City and makes extensive use of Contrarian Metal Resources' InvariMatte® Stainless Steel on its two-story exterior.

Erik’s Bike Shop

Erik’s Bike Shop grew from a workshop in his parents’ backyard to an 18-store business employing more than 300 people. Thanks to The Renschler Group, an American Buildings Company (ABC) authorized Builder, Erik’s Bike Shop continues to grow successfully throughout the Midwest with a new store in Madison, Wisconsin.

University Of North Florida Student Wellness Complex

The $22-million University of North Florida (UNF) Student Wellness Complex is an 82,000 sq. ft. facility intended to provide recreational and wellness opportunities for students, faculty, and staff. The multi-story building – predominantly clad in metal panels from CENTRIA - also includes educational, social, and administrative spaces.

Karn Residence

But the project was years in the making and includes a strong European influence—just ask the owners/architects, Gail Whitney Karn and her husband, Robert Karn. San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Complex Headquarters And Visitors Center

An AEP Span metal roof system was the top choice when Catalyst Architecture LLC of Prescott, AZ set out to achieve LEED Platinum Certification and a Net-Zero energy design for the San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Complex Headquarters and Visitors Center. The center is located in central California near Los Banos.

In September 2013, Manatee Technical Institute celebrated its 50th anniversary in a new main campus facility. Featuring railing infill panels woven by Banker Wire, the Bradenton, FL, ‘Main Campus’ is a state-of-the-art facility that is home to post-secondary adult, career and technical education programs.

Rare Air Limited Storage Hangar

Rigid Frame construction from Varco Pruden Buildings was used to create a 39,917 sq. ft. corporate flight department facility in the County of Douglas, Colorado. Owned by Rare Air Limited LLC, the structure includes a 30,000 sq. ft. hangar and a 9,917 sq. ft. office space/support area.

Heroes Park Shelter

Nucor Vulcraft Group completed a unique, pro-bono project for the Norfolk Veterans Home in Norfolk, NE. Vulcraft donated the joist and decking, as well as the time dedicated by all departments - including sales, engineering, production, and shipping - for the Heroes Park Shelter. Other steel was also donated by a sister division, Nucor Steel.

D Casino Hotel

The new D Casino Hotel in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada is the result of a major renovation and renaming of the old Fitzgeralds Casino at the eastern end of the Fremont Street Experience, a canopied pedestrian mall and entertainment attraction. The facility’s entrance features metal panels from Petersen Aluminum Corp.

Charles And Rae Kane Center

Named for a local couple who have championed senior issues, the Charles and Rae Kane Center in Stuart, Florida is situated on a nine-acre wooded campus in a primarily residential area. Designed in the traditional Florida vernacular—with tall windows, plank siding and metal roofing from Englert Inc.—the center fits well with similar architecture and has a hometown, residential feel.

Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX
