Sunset Cove - San Diego International Airport

The Green Build terminal is the largest and most ambitious expansion project in the history of the San Diego International Airport. As a result, it became the first commercial airport to earn LEED Platinum certification. The project used Starlight 7J™ stainless steel from Contrarian Metal Resources for 140 columns incorporated into the design of the terminal's Sunset Cove shopping and concession core.

Corinth High School Softball Complex

When it comes to high school softball facilities, the complex at Corinth High School in Corinth, MS is hard to beat. In addition to synthetic turf, the complex includes an admissions/ticket building with restrooms and concessions, a field house with locker rooms and a covered batting cage, an aluminum grandstand, a press box and sunken dugouts. Brick construction ties it all together, as does Englert Series 2000 standing seam roofing.

Red Custom Crush Wine Storage Building

Performance is the first and last word when it comes to wine storage buildings. And thanks to products from Kingspan Insulated Panels, Premium Wine Storage’s new Red Custom Crush building in Healdsburg, CA performs exactly as intended. Kingspan’s KingZip metal roofing and 300 A Azteco wall panels were both utilized for the 20,000 sq. ft. building’s construction.

Central Maryland Farmhouse

A 100-year-old farmhouse in Central Maryland was totally renovated and now sports a brand new RHEINZINK roof that gives it an authentic old-world look and feel. The property, which was originally a dairy farm, has been in the owner’s family since the 1920s.

Lindsay High School

When Lindsay, Texas fell victim to major hail storms in 2011 and 2012, the high school’s existing metal roof was damaged by golf ball size hail. The solution to the severe cosmetic damage was a metal-over-metal recover with the help of Roof Hugger retrofit sub-framing.

North Carolina National Guard Joint Force Headquarters

The $44.6 million North Carolina National Guard Joint Force Headquarters in Raleigh, NC was designed to provide a reserve center for the North Carolina National Guard personnel throughout peacetime missions. It is also home to the State of North Carolina Emergency Operations Center, the Statewide Transportation Center and the Highway Patrol’s Regional Communications Center. Metal products from CENTRIA are featured prominently in the design.

Carousel Ranch

Successfully completing a high-quality construction project is rewarding; knowing that the project will provide a benefit to children with disabilities is even more fulfilling. Varco Pruden Builder™ Knight Building Systems Inc. had this experience. In the spring of 2014, the design-build company based in Agua Dulce, Calif., constructed a new covered riding arena for Carousel Ranch.

School District Of Indian River County Support Services Complex

The School District of Indian River County (SDIRC) has a new Support Services Complex, located in Vero Beach, Florida. The complex, built by Summit Construction of Vero Beach LLC, an American Buildings Company (ABC) Authorized Builder, consists of an 80,000-square-foot metal building and CMU block building. The new building allows the school district to consolidate their many different departments.

Toro Headquarters

The Toro Company celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014 at its world headquarters campus in Bloomington, Minn., shortly after unveiling a new three-story 75,000 sq. ft. building designed to provide expanded product development and testing areas as well as office, training and conference spaces. The facility features aluminum composite material from 3A Composites USA.

Jeff Ryan proclaims himself the envy of the lake. He says it's because of the remote-controlled Schweiss "Red Power" Hydraulic door he installed on his new boathouse. Perhaps it has something to do too with the pleasure craft he keeps inside: a beautifully maintained 1955 Chris Craft Continental.

Hurricane Harbor

Six Flags Over Georgia’s new Hurricane Harbor water park near Atlanta includes 22 buildings of varying use and purpose, and all of them sport PAC-CLAD aluminum standing seam roof panels by Petersen. Multiple roof colors are featured throughout the park, making for a bright and stimulating environment.

The Alice and Carl Kirkland Cancer Center in Jackson, TN is an 82,000-square-foot medical facility that was designed to help heal. It’s 3D exterior came to life with Tapered Series Dri-Design Wall Panels that create a high-tech curb appeal, inviting patients and their families into a spa-like environment.

Mendocino Transit Authority Bus Maintenance Facility

With its vehicles logging almost 900,000 miles annually, it is imperative that the Mendocino Transit Authority (MTA) in Northern California have a state-of-the-art shop to keep its buses running in top shape. In August 2012, the agency dedicated its new bus maintenance facility in Ukiah. The exterior of the 17,196-square-foot structure includes insulated metal roof and wall panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels.

Peter Gilgan Centre For Research And Learning

The Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto is the largest child health research tower in the world. Focusing on human and environmental health in five key areas, the project has achieved LEED Gold certification. Highlighting the building’s entrance and providing a welcoming look for visitors is RHEINZINK titanium zinc from RHEINZINK America Inc.
