School District Of Indian River County Support Services Complex

The School District of Indian River County (SDIRC) has a new Support Services Complex, located in Vero Beach, Florida. The complex, built by Summit Construction of Vero Beach LLC, an American Buildings Company (ABC) Authorized Builder, consists of an 80,000-square-foot metal building and CMU block building. The new building allows the school district to consolidate their many different departments.

Twin Rinks Ice Center

Toro Headquarters

The Toro Company celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014 at its world headquarters campus in Bloomington, Minn., shortly after unveiling a new three-story 75,000 sq. ft. building designed to provide expanded product development and testing areas as well as office, training and conference spaces. The facility features aluminum composite material from 3A Composites USA.

Jeff Ryan proclaims himself the envy of the lake. He says it's because of the remote-controlled Schweiss "Red Power" Hydraulic door he installed on his new boathouse. Perhaps it has something to do too with the pleasure craft he keeps inside: a beautifully maintained 1955 Chris Craft Continental.

Hurricane Harbor

Six Flags Over Georgia’s new Hurricane Harbor water park near Atlanta includes 22 buildings of varying use and purpose, and all of them sport PAC-CLAD aluminum standing seam roof panels by Petersen. Multiple roof colors are featured throughout the park, making for a bright and stimulating environment.

Alice And Carl Kirkland Cancer Center

The Alice and Carl Kirkland Cancer Center in Jackson, TN is an 82,000-square-foot medical facility that was designed to help heal. It’s 3D exterior came to life with Tapered Series Dri-Design Wall Panels that create a high-tech curb appeal, inviting patients and their families into a spa-like environment.

Mendocino Transit Authority Bus Maintenance Facility

With its vehicles logging almost 900,000 miles annually, it is imperative that the Mendocino Transit Authority (MTA) in Northern California have a state-of-the-art shop to keep its buses running in top shape. In August 2012, the agency dedicated its new bus maintenance facility in Ukiah. The exterior of the 17,196-square-foot structure includes insulated metal roof and wall panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels.

Peter Gilgan Centre For Research And Learning

The Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto is the largest child health research tower in the world. Focusing on human and environmental health in five key areas, the project has achieved LEED Gold certification. Highlighting the building’s entrance and providing a welcoming look for visitors is RHEINZINK titanium zinc from RHEINZINK America Inc.

Scholfield Buick GMC

Scholfield Buick GMC in Wichita, Kansas is sporting a new state-of-the-art facility thanks to Conco Construction, an American Buildings Company Authorized Builder. The project was one of the most complicated in Conco’s history with eight separate engineered buildings, more than 25 exterior building corners and multiple roof elevations.

Located across from Mackey Arena and the Neil Armstrong Engineering Building, the project includes on its exterior 11,000 sq. ft. of Omega Lite aluminum composite panels from Laminators Incorporated.

CMC Design Build of Quincy, Mass., has focused its efforts on serving the food and beverage industry, providing “the greatest levels of efficiency and effectiveness with every project.” Most of the time, CMC specifies metal wall panels from Metl-Span for those projects, including the new Kettle Cuisine plant in Lynn, Mass.

Space Shuttle Atlantis Exhibit Enclosure

One of the newest attractions at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Cape Canaveral, FL is the $100 million Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit. The exhibit enclosure, completed in 2013, was designed by PGAV Destinations and features panels on its exterior from VMZINC, the international brand name of rolled zinc products manufactured and sold by the Building Products Unit of the Umicore Group.

The company is hoping to parlay its name recognition into success in the Florida market as well and to boosts its efforts has developed a new prototype store design that uses Kingspan KarrierPanel™ as one of its key construction components.

Vermont Barn

At the end of a dirt road in southern Vermont is a stunning timber and stone residence designed to resemble a 16th century Anglo-Norman manor house. The adjacent barn is styled to look as though it was from the same period too. It is topped with zinc, a roofing material with European roots dating back many centuries. The zinc roofing material supplier, RHEINZINK America Inc., has the same European lineage but now thrives in the United States as well.
