Siemens Wind Turbine Facility

The 300,000 sq. ft. Siemens Wind Turbine Facility in Hutchinson, KS produces nacelles for the company's 2.3-MW and 3.0-MW wind power turbines. Given the factory’s sustainable mission, it was important that the building itself was as well. The result is a factory – featuring metal products from CENTRIA - that achieved LEED® Gold certification.

KaTom Headquarters

A long, monotonous headquarters was not the image restaurant supply company KaTom was looking to portray when it moved to Kodak, Tenn. The group, therefore, set out to reimagine the 2005 log home manufacturing facility it purchased to serve as its new headquarters. A Dri-Design Wall Panel System helped achieve this goal by creating a welcoming structure reflective of the company culture and purpose.

Crowder College McDonald County

The beautiful new Crowder College McDonald County facility, located in Jane, Missouri, features metal building products from Metallic Building Company. The Metallic builder for the project was Farrell Construction Inc., who has developed a longstanding relationship with the college by working on projects with other departments of the school for the past few years.

Hofbrauhaus-Chicago

The designers of the Hofbrauhaus-Chicago brewery wanted to hide that new building's rooftop equipment. They also wanted an overall aesthetic for the project that closely matched that of the well-known Royal Brewery in Munich, Germany. Thanks to rooftop equipment screening from RoofScreen Manufacturing, they were able to meet those objectives and more.

Exploration Tower At Port Canaveral

With its shimmering, iridescent exterior, the new Exploration Tower at Port Canaveral beckons visitors with its unique appearance as its color changes in different light and when viewed from different angles. Opened in November 2013, the Port’s iconic welcome center showcases the first use of Valspar’s new Kameleon™ Color mica coating as spray-applied to Firestone Metal Products’ UNA-CLAD™ metal wall panels by Linetec, one of the nation’s largest finishers of architectural aluminum.

Chicago is famous for its skyline, innovative architecture and many prominent buildings. Some consider Chicago to be the first truly American city because architecture along the east coast was strongly influenced by the original European settlers as opposed to people born in America. The new Godfrey Hotel continues The Windy City's tradition of architectural excellence, thanks in part to the use of insulated metal wall panels from Lewisville, TX-based Metl-Span on its exterior.

The Painted Rock Estate Winery, overlooking the eastern shore of Skaha Lake in Penticton, British Columbia, has added the new 1,600 sq. ft. one-story Painted Rock Estate Winery Tasting Room, which opened in September 2013. The facility's exterior walls features aluminum composite material from 3A Composites USA.

Nashville And Davidson County Fire Stations

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County undertook an aggressive plan to replace six aging Tennessee fire stations and provide more functional and energy efficient buildings to better serve the community. The six stations are seeking or have received LEED certification and all were clad with Petersen Aluminum’s Snap-Clad aluminum panels.

Frank A. Cassell Hall

Designed by FortyEighty Architecture, Frank A. Cassell Hall at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg is nestled in a steep hillside along the south bank of Slate Run. The two-story, 16,837 sq. ft. structure is replete with environmental sustainability and aesthetic features – including woven wire mesh infill panels from Banker Wire – that accentuate its connection to the natural world.

Stage AE

Stage AE, located on Pittsburgh, PA’s burgeoning North Shore, is an indoor and outdoor concert venue. This 35,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose entertainment complex features an indoor concert hall with room for 2,400 spectators, an outdoor amphitheater that can accommodate 5,550 and a small rock club that holds 350 to 400 guests. Metal wall panels from CENTRIA played a key role in the facility’s design.

C. Tucker Cope & Associates Inc., American Buildings Company (ABC) Authorized Builder, used a metal building system to complete ZipCity™, an 18,000 square-foot facility in Streetsboro, Ohio that contains what is described as the first indoor zip line and trampoline park in the world.

101 Bedford Avenue

Luxury and spaciousness were top of mind for Karl Fischer Architects, the New York City design firm responsible for 101 Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. The 351-unit building, which covers nearly the entire block, is located just across the street from a park and is one subway stop away from the city. Surrounding the top of the building are Omega-Lite aluminum composite panels from Laminators Incorporated of Hatfield, PA.

Northern Arizona University Dining Hall Expansion

When time and money are tight, you go with what you know and trust. Jason Boyer, AIA, LEED AP BD+C and Benjamin Mullings, LEED AP BD+C of Jason Boyer Architects (JBA) in Phoenix had previously worked on the award-winning Health and Learning Center project at Northern Arizona University, completed in 2011 while at OWP/P Cannon Design. That project included corrugated panels and perforated corrugated panels from Morin, A Kingspan Group Company.

Tennessee Packaging Company

The new facility for Tennessee Packaging Company in Loudon, TN is impressive throughout. It sports clean lines on the exterior with its sleek metal wall panels on the manufacturing area, and architectural metal roofing and exposed structural steel at the main entry. Metal systems from Varco Pruden Buildings were used to create the 157,503 sq. ft. facility.

University Of Dayton 1700 South Patterson Building

A Dri-Design Wall Panel System has helped turn the 1700 South Patterson Building on the University of Dayton's River Campus into a stunning academic and research building. While interior renovations transformed the structure into usable university space, the building’s exterior was reclad with metal panels from Dri-Design in two phases during 2012 and 2013, with work finishing in October 2013. This renovation added an earthy, inviting feel to the building while eliminating safety concerns.

Bavaria S.A.

Air pollution from dust, soot and smoke from diesel vehicles is an ongoing issue in Bogotá, Colombia, the second largest city in South America, and home to over 1.5 million cars and over 100,000 public service vehicles that use diesel fuel. To withstand such an environment, the new Bavaria S.A. corporate headquarters was clad with Reynobond® Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) finished with Alcoa Architectural Products’ (AAP) groundbreaking EcoClean™ coating.
