Lambton Hall - University Of Guelph

The University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, and the administration initiated several construction projects to get the campus in shape for the milestone. From a new entryway at one end of campus to a major residence makeover at the other, buildings have been upgraded, grounds and infrastructure improved. Among the products helping to give the residence hall a contemporary, industrial look is woven wire mesh from W.S. Tyler.

Arena Castelão

Palram Americas, a leading manufacturer of polycarbonate and PVC product lines, announces the use of SUNTUF® PRO on the Plácido Castelo stadium, popularly known as the Arena Castelão, in Fortaleza, Brazil. Owned by the Brazilian government and inaugurated in 1973, the stadium was revamped for soccer’s 2014 World Cup.

Beverly Farms Elementary School

Construction of the new Beverly Farms Elementary School in Potomac, MD was part of Montgomery County Public Schools’ on-going revitalization/expansion program. Following a feasibility study, it was determined that demolition of the existing building and construction of a new school was the most cost effective approach. Metal roofing from Petersen Aluminum played a key role in the construction of the new facility.

Empire City Casino Addition

The 60,000 sq. ft. Empire City Casino addition at Yonkers Raceway in Yonkers, NY is a dynamic departure from ordinary casino design. Featured on its exterior is approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK PrePATINA blue-grey Solid and Custom Perforated Flat Lock Panels.

Ray And Joan Kroc Corps Community Center - Salvation Army

The $30-million Kroc Community Center in Dayton, OH is designed to provide recreational, spiritual, educational and cultural arts programs to people of all ages in an underserved community. CENTRIA products played a significant role in the facility’s design.

Longwater Place

Owners of multi-tenant properties can look to Longwater Place, Norwell, MA, and the application of the Shadow Series from Dri-Design for inspiration on how to designate specific rental spaces while inviting customers inside. The Dri-Design Wall Panel System created a lively and interactive exterior for the original building and an office addition.

Niles North Aquatics Center

The Niles North Aquatics Center, home to a year-round competitive swim program hosted by the local school district, Illinois Swimming and USA Swimming, features a new two-story addition and competition pool, in Skokie, Illinois. KJWW Engineering Consultants worked with Vulcraft Group, supplier of steel joists, steel joist girders and steel decking, to complete the project.

Lemartec Engineering & Construction Corporation, a design-build and construction management firm and authorized builder for Varco Pruden Buildings, completed the expansion and enhancement of Ronald Reagan Equestrian Center at Tropical Park, a crown jewel of Miami recreational spaces.

Barrett Warehouse

Quillian Powell Construction Company Inc., an American Buildings Company (ABC) Authorized Builder, created a unique metal storage unit with dual function as a hangout spot and storage building in Lake Park, Georgia. The building was designed to hold an antique collection of John Deere two-cylinder tractors and vehicles, while also serving as a weekend getaway.

Capitol West

Capitol West is a mixed-use infill development in downtown Madison, Wis. Designed by a team of five nationally acclaimed architects, it features an 11-story high-rise, townhomes, rowhouses and lofts. Products from Morin, A Kingspan Group Company, helped achieve the sustainable and aesthetic goals.

Aqua Pelican Isle Yacht Club

To advance the nautical look and residential feel of the new Aqua condominium at the Pelican Isle Yacht Club in Naples, FL, Curtain Gaines Hall Jones of Tampa, FL topped the 11-story ultra-luxury condominium development with jobsite-manufactured metal roofing from Englert Inc. of Perth Amboy, NJ. Architect Robert Hall cited the metal's ability to resist the effects of prolonged exposure to salt air and water as the reason why the new roof was formed from aluminum rather than steel.

Station At Mill Point, Elon University

The new Station at Mill Point housing complex at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina features 148,000 total square feet of metal roof panels from Metal Sales™. The Station at Mill Point’s 25 furnished buildings have the capacity to house 324 upperclassmen in a townhouse-style unit with a community amenities building. The residential village resembles a classic Charleston neighborhood with two-story buildings of different designs and color palettes, each topped with a Metal Sales roof.

Legacy ER

The uniqueness of a free-standing emergency room is rivaled only by the uniqueness of the design concept of the new Legacy ER in Allen, TX. Described by some as a “metal origami," the facility functions both as a state-licensed emergency facility as well as an urgent care clinic. The emergency room–open 24 hours a day, seven days a week–features on its exterior an architectural robe of zinc panels from RHEINZINK America Inc., Woburn, MA.

Cougar Place Replacement Housing

As part of an aggressive master plan for its campus, the University of Houston demolished an existing seven-acre apartment complex and constructed Cougar Place Replacement Housing. The contemporary 300,000 sq. ft., four-story building – featuring metal panels from Petersen Aluminum - includes 800 student beds and will house sophomore and other upper-class level students.

The Wayne State University School of Medicine’s new Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences medical office building in Detroit was designed to create “visual impact” at its high-profile location along Interstate 75. It succeeds in doing so through the use of a zinc cladding system from Dri-Design on its exterior.

Mosaic Village

Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) of Charlotte, NC, needed a new dormitory to increase its student housing, and the historic West End district of Charlotte was in need of revitalization. With Mosaic Village–which features insulated metal wall panels from Kingspan Insulated Metal Panels Inc., and single-element metal wall panels from Morin-A Kingspan Group Company on its exterior–both goals were met.

Penn Medicine Washington Square

The new Penn Medicine Washington Square outpatient medical facility opened in September 2013 in the Walnut Towers property at the corner of 8th and Walnut streets in Philadelphia’s Center City with plenty of parking. In fact, this new 12-story medical office tower – featuring aluminum composite material cladding from 3A Composites USA - was built over an existing seven-story garage featuring 600 parking spaces.

TWO-EE's Winery

The proprietors of TWO-EE’s Winery, its board and community members broke ground in April 2012 for a 6,000 square-foot winery near Roanoke, Indiana. The result is a beautiful facility featuring products from Varco Pruden Buildings.
