Washington, DC – Architecture firms reported flat billings in June, according to the latest Architecture Billings Index (ABI) from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Deltek. The ABI score was 50.1 for June, down slightly from May's score of 51.0. Although growth in June was weaker than May, this marks the first time since last fall that there have been two consecutive months of scores above 50 (any score above 50 indicates an increase in firm billings).

The index score for May was the highest it has been since September 2022. Inquiries into new projects and design contracts also increased this month, reaching their highest levels since February.
