Equipment Finance Industry Confidence Down In April

Washington, DC – The Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation (the Foundation) has released its April 2023 Monthly Confidence Index for the Equipment Finance Industry (MCI-EFI). The index reports a qualitative assessment of both the prevailing business conditions and expectations for the future as reported by key executives from the $1 trillion equipment finance sector. Overall, confidence in the equipment finance market is 47.0, a decrease from the March index of 50.3.

MCA Offering Membership Discounts To METALCON Exhibitors

Chicago, IL — As a co-partner of METALCON, the Metal Construction Association(MCA) is offering an incentive to exhibitors to join the association. Companies who exhibit at 2023 METALCON will receive a 50% discount on their first year of membership when they join MCA. In addition, MCA members who sign up to exhibit at METALCON receive a deduction of $4 per square foot on their 2023 booth space. Existing exhibitors who join MCA receive the show floor discount at the 2024 show in Atlanta and at all future shows as long as they maintain an active membership.

Holcim Building Envelope Names New Business Unit President

Nashville, TN – Holcim Building Envelope has announced the promotion of Kristin Beck to President of its Americas Commercial Roofing Systems & Lining business unit, which encompasses the Elevate and GenFlex lines of roofing systems. Construction Employment Increases In 79% Of Metro Areas From February 2022 To 2023

Arlington, VA - Construction employment increased in 283, or 79 percent, of 358 metro areas between February 2022 and February 2023, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of new government employment data. Meanwhile, new government data shows there were more job openings in the industry than the number of people hired last month. Association officials said the industry continues to struggle to find enough workers and urged public leaders to boost investments in construction training and education.
