AIA Billings Index Survey Declines Slightly In November

Washington, DC – Architecture firm billing activity contracted in November after two months of a slowing decline, according to a new report from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The pace of decline during November accelerated from October, posting an Architecture Billings Index (ABI) score of 46.3 from 47.5 (any score below 50 indicates a decline in firm billings).

Equipment Finance Industry's December Confidence Survey Reaches Pre-Pandemic Levels

Washington, DC - The Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation (the Foundation) has released its December 2020 Monthly Confidence Index for the Equipment Finance Industry (MCI-EFI). The index reports a qualitative assessment of both the prevailing business conditions and expectations for the future as reported by key executives from the $900 billion equipment finance sector. Overall, confidence in the equipment finance market is 59.7, an increase from the November index of 56.1.

AGC: Construction Sector Adds 27,000 Jobs In November

Alexandria, VA - Construction employment increased by 27,000 jobs in November, as continuing robust gains in residential categories masked more sluggish increases in nonresidential jobs, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of latest government data. Association officials cautioned, however, that pandemic-induced project cancellations and looming tax bills for firms that used Paycheck Protection Program loans to save jobs threaten to undermine future job growth in the sector.
