The Triangle

Three corners at the end of the historic district in Redmond, WA, come together to form The Triangle, a new LEED Gold apartment building. Architect Tiscareno Associates, Redmond, contrasted the classic, red-brick look of the district with a modern and bold design achieved in part with Citadel Architectural Products' Envelope 2000® metal composite material (MCM) installed using the Reveal (RV) system.

Archer Hotel, Napa, CA

The Archer Hotel, a boutique establishment in Napa, CA, covers 136,000 square feet with 183 guest rooms. It features a 15,000 square-foot deck with an outdoor bar and dining options, a spa, and private outdoor patios. The clean lines and contemporary look of CENTRIA Concept Series panels bring a sense of urban modernity to the building’s main tower, achieving the goal of blending the old world with the new.

Ainslie

No space is wasted at Ainslie, a newly opened Italian restaurant in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. To make the most of an outdoor space behind the old converted factory building, the restaurant's owners added a glass-clad bifold door from Schweiss Doors.

eSTEM Academy

Due to an increase in demand for jobs in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields, the Corona Norco Unified School District in California decided it was time to start producing more STEM graduates from its district. With the new 107,000 sq. ft. eSTEM Academy in Eastvale, it will. An integral part of the sleek, high-tech building's design was the incorporation of 35,000 sq. ft. of Omega-Lite®ACM panels from Laminators Inc.

Dunkin' - Phoenix, AZ

As Dunkin’ continues to grow their brand, consumers will see a variety of interesting and unique store designs, all sporting the signature Dunkin’ logo. A new Dunkin’ location in Phoenix was designed by a.d. ArizaDo, an architectural design firm located in Tempe, AZ, using four colors of CastleTop metal shingles by ATAS International.

Lewiston Community Health Center

By specifying a variety of exposed fastener profiles from McElroy Metal on the Lewiston (Pa.) Community Health Center medical office building project, the design team was able to achieve the desired aesthetic and still construct a facility for the non-profit real estate development company with durability and budget constraints in mind.

The Park At OWA

The Park at OWA in Foley, Ala., combines an amusement park with two themed shopping and entertainment districts. Drawing on classic Southern coastal architectural themes, designers opted for PAC-CLAD metal roofing panels from Petersen throughout the new complex.

Denver Tennis Park

Fifty-six skylights bring outside light into the Denver Tennis Park, owned by Denver Public Schools. Completed in September 2018, the 51,480 sq. ft. structure, featuring Varco Pruden Buildings' Rigid Frame system, houses seven indoor courts that are complemented by another six outdoors.

Ironclad

The new Ironclad mixed-use development in Minneapolis stands out in the historic Mill District’s cityscape with a unique metal-clad angular design that is equal parts historic inspiration and contemporary urban chic. Aluminum composite material cladding was supplied by 3A Composites USA.

Overmountain Vineyards

Overmountain Vineyards, a family-operated vineyard in Polk County, NC, wanted to offer its visitors comfortable overnight accommodations. Working with some talented designers, the plan was to construct two 1,300 square foot guest houses, using insulated metal panels (IMPs) from Metl-Span for the walls and roofing.

Alaska Airlines Hangar

Building in Alaska always presents unique challenges, not the least of which is the short construction season. That weighed heavily in an architect's decision to specify insulated metal panels from Kingspan for a massive hangar commissioned by Alaska Airlines to house its largest aircraft.

Rhythm Apartments

You can feel the energy in Milwaukee’s booming Eastside as the neighborhood expands and welcomes newcomers. One of the latest additions is Rhythm Apartments, designed by Eppstein Uhen Architects, Milwaukee. Located on the popular Water Street, the development features micro-sized studios and one-bedroom apartments in a rhythmic building clad in ProCore™ from Citadel Architectural Products.

Rainmaker Buffet

Festival Buffet at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., temporarily closed its door in November 2018 for a complete renovation and rebranding. To create a flowing space that would direct customers through what is now called Rainmaker Buffet, JCJ Architecture filled the interior with curves. The soffit curves were created with Flex-C Arch and Flex-C Trac by Flex-Ability Concepts.

Rock Outdoors

Born out of the dream of a longtime bass fisherman, Rock Outdoors is a community committed to a life lived outside. The outdoor lifestyle and apparel store located in Lexington, North Carolina is also a boat dealership, offering maintenance and repair services. Rock Outdoors was awarded first place in the interiors category of ATAS’ 2018 project of the year competition.

Garmin Headquarters Parking Garage

CENTRIA® EcoScreen® served as an important design element for the new, four-floor parking garage at the Garmin Headquarters located in Olathe, KS. Approximately 25,000 square feet of product was specified and selected for the entire building exterior, fulfilling a key design objective while also providing a signature look.

Southside Bank

When Southside Bank in Texas began a campaign to modernize its brand, management understood that the buildings it occupies play a significant role in branding. The existing flagship branch in Tyler, Texas, was re-imagined and renovated inside and out to reflect the contemporary way the bank now interacts with its customers. Metal products from Petersen were key design elements.

Uncommon

Developers had their reasons for naming a new apartment building on North High Street in Columbus, OH "Uncommon", but in all likelihood, it had nothing to do with the exterior look. Like so many of today's trendy multi-unit residential buildings, it is clad in part with aluminum composite metal wall panels; in this case from Laminators Inc. of Hatfield, PA.

Finley Center

The Finley Center sports complex and event venue provides a unique blend of multi-functional space for community sports and fitness, as well as convention and entertainment facilities to boost the local economy in Hoover, AL. The project’s modern design called for a dynamic, all-metal façade featuring more than 100,000 square feet of Metl-Span insulated metal wall and roof panels.

Windsor High School Farm

Two steel-framed structures by Varco Pruden Buildings anchor the Windsor High School Farm, part of Isle Of Wight County Schools in southeast Virginia. Blueridge General of Norfolk, Virginia was the Varco Pruden Builder for the project. The designer was RRMM Architects of Chesapeake, Virginia.
