Rocketship Delta Prep School

Design of the new Rocketship Delta Prep school in Antioch, CA focused on being a modern interpretation of the local Spanish mission elements, keeping in mind the goal to be a Net Zero Energy building. Key to achieving the goals of the design team were insulated metal panels from Metl-Span, which offer high R-value, recyclability and extensive color and embossing options.

IUPUI Innovation Hall

All discussions during the design phase of Innovation Hall at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis focused on constructing a facility that would host the most modern technological class offerings. Fittingly, a significant portion of the building’s façade consists of larson® aluminum composite material (ACM) from Alucoil.

Rennen & Beecher Flats

Rennen & Beecher Flats, incorporating a total of 18 condos and three ground-level retail spaces, is one of the latest in a long list of projects completed by the local nonprofit Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. Metal wall panels from Petersen add a contemporary feel to the mixed-use project.

Nils K. Nelson Bioscience Innovation Building

The new Nils K. Nelson Bioscience Innovation Building at Purdue University Northwest was designed not only to serve as a state-of-the-art teaching facility – housing the university’s college of nursing and department of biological sciences – but as a new “front door” to the 167-acre campus in Hammond, Ind. Aluminum composite material cladding from 3A Composites USA is featured on the exterior.

Colorado River Indian Tribes’ Fire Safety Substation

The Reservation of the Colorado River Indian Tribes' fire safety substation is a multifunctional facility that includes a fire station, administration space, community meeting rooms, crew quarters, an emergency operation center, triage and stabilization clinic and six apparatus bays. It features custom-engineered metal framing from Star Building Systems, combined with conventional framing.

Junior Achievement Of Northern Indiana

With the ultimate goal of relocating three entities all under one roof, The Hagerman Group of Fort Wayne, IN - an American Buildings Authorized Builder - was contracted to build a new campus for Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana. As a result, The Hagerman Group was awarded the American Buildings 2021 Building of the Year Excellence in Design Award in the Special Projects category.

Gladys Valley Marine Studies Building

Completed in mid-2020, Oregon State University's Gladys Valley Marine Studies Building at the Hatfield Marine Science Center combines modern architectural design, state-of-the-art engineering and time-tested natural RHEINZINK prePATINA® Blue-Grey zinc roofing and wall cladding. The RHEINZINK material for the project was supplied by Sheet Metal Supply Ltd. of Grayslake, IL and fabricated into panels by The Bryer Company Inc. of Auburn, WA.

The Hangar At 743

David Prescott is founder of the Prescott Foundation and CEO of The Hangar at 743, home of the Wardbird Factory in Latham, NY. Offering maintenance and restoration services to ensure vintage WWII aircraft continue to fly safely for years to come, his living museum also provides opportunities to educate and inspire. A vintage-looking hydraulic door from Schweiss Doors plays a role in the hangar's function and its value as a unique event space.

Sharon Folks Library

The redesign of the Sharon Forks Library in Cumming, Georgia nearly doubled the size, giving it much needed room to grow, while requiring its closure for only six to eight weeks during the yearlong construction process. The finished project maintains a residential feel, with a gabled and dormered Petersen metal roof that reflects traditional Southern style.

Based in Elkhart, IN and established in 1942, INOVA Federal Credit Union serves over 42,000 members and various employees from over 500 companies. To extend its ability to serve its ever-growing customer base, the company recently opened a new branch location in nearby Granger. To create the desired look and meet significant challenges related to material availability and color options, the design team turned to Laminators Inc.

Expanding into the United States, Australia-based Ecofibre, a global leader in hemp technologies, sought to build a headquarters that aligned with the company’s sustainability goals. Choosing insulated metal panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels - North America helped it achieve those objectives, and contributed to the project's rapid construction.

The Canyon Storage self-storage facility in Millcreek, Utah, offers a variety of options for customers in a safe, clean and well-lit area. Security comes from a 24-hour surveillance system, perimeter fencing, access-controlled entry and exit, as well as the 650 Series Doors from DBCI.

Risen Savior Lutheran Church

When Allen Gravitt, director of Executive West Building, Goodyear, Ariz., was hired as the framing and drywall contractor for the expansion of Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Chandler, Ariz., he followed his instincts to bring a bold design to life. Flex-Ability Concepts’ Flex-C Trac and Flex-C Arch were chosen to create curves in the new space - curves on a level not often seen.

Based in Costa Rica, Microtech’s facility provides precision manufacturing and supply chain innovation through capability and tooling for small metal and plastic components. As part of the company’s desire for new-world technology and a “forward-thinking manufacturing” approach, Microtech wanted more control of its energy and power requirements. That goal was met with the help of rooftop solar attachment products by S-5!.

When the City of Spokane, Wash., was planning for a major upgrade of its water treatment facility, it was important to choose construction materials that would stand the test of time. Insulated metal wall panels and standing seam roofing from MBCI were selected for the new Membrane Filtration Building at the Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility.

University Of Texas – Tyler STEM And Business Building

The University of Texas at Tyler created plans to add a STEM and business building to its expanding campus to attract students from across the country. The original specification called for aluminum composite material (ACM) to match metal wall panels on the College of Pharmacy Building. Cost savings, design options and speed of installation were brought to the table by changing to Shadow Series wall panels from Dri-Design.

Central Georgia Technical College Reroofs

Aging roofing and poor details on four adjacent buildings on the Central Georgia Technical College campus in Warner Robins, Ga., got to the point they were beyond another temporary repair job. After approximately 10 years of patching the problem, the college wanted a permanent solution and eventually elected to re-cover the modified bitumen roofing with symmetrical standing seam panels from McElroy Metal.

Thaden School

Thaden School in Bentonville, Arkansas, celebrates the class of 2021 – the first to graduate from this new independent middle and high school. As the next academic year begins, returning students will be welcomed back to an expanded offering on its 30-acre campus. The three of the newest school buildings – "Reels," "Wheels" and the performing arts center – were designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects and feature architectural coil coatings by Sherwin-Williams.
