Moser School

The new Moser School for fourth and fifth grade students is a 79,000 square foot building which opened in September of 2019 in Rocky Hill, CT. ATAS International’s Linear Ceiling panel in a custom wood grain pattern, featuring a high-performance 70% PVDF paint finish, was used for the project.

McLeod Hangar

Dr. Robert McLeod of Creston, British Columbia, should be proud of his new 44' x 30' hangar. It features a beautifully designed exterior, highlighted by Douglas Fir log posts and beams, and features a trio of 3' x 6' Douglas Fir-trimmed windows. Best of all, the hangar has a premium hangar door. The 42'-6" x 12'-6" bifold liftstrap door was manufactured by industry leader Schweiss Doors. It’s equipped with an automatic latching system and remote opener.

Catalyst Building

The future is green in Spokane, Washington, with the opening of the Catalyst Building on September 17, 2020. The net-zero-carbon, zero-energy Eastern Washington University building aims to set a new standard for eco-friendly materials and design. A featured element of its construction is KarrierPanel insulated metal panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels.

Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center

Stetson University, located in DeLand, Fla., halfway between Orlando and Daytona Beach, might be landlocked, but that hasn’t stopped the school’s rowing ambitions. The school christened a new boathouse - featuring curved metal roofing from Petersen - on the shores of nearby Lake Beresford in an effort to provide a home its rowing teams can be proud of, while also creating a home for its Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience.

Quincy High School

Surrounded by the rural fields of Quincy, WA, the new Quincy High School showcases how technology and agriculture merge. One way the team at NAC Architecture, Seattle, accomplished this was by selecting EN-V Metal Wall Panels from Dri-Design because metal is a common building material in the rural landscape.

Downtown Terrace Apartments

You’d never guess the 30-unit complex known as Downtown Terrace in San Luis Obispo, Calif., was made up entirely of mobile homes. Each two-story unit was manufactured in a factory and delivered with OSB siding. As a finishing touch, corrugated panels from McElroy Metal were installed as the façade to each building.

Measurement Systems Laboratory - NASA Langley Research Center

Knowing how to tackle big projects is the mark of a capable fabricator. And as its work on the 175,000 sq. ft. Measurement Systems Laboratory at the NASA Langley Research Center demonstrates, Manchester, MI-based CEI Materials is indeed capable. The company fabricated and installed more than 90,000 sq. ft. of ALPOLIC/fr aluminum composite material for the recently completed project, while handling the fabrication and installation of two other wall systems as well.

Cycle Gear

Tejas Contractors recently created curved walls with Flex-C Trac by Flex-Ability Concepts at a new Cycle Gear branch in Katy, Texas. Radius soffits and curved walls were incorporated in the store for a helmet display wall and three feature walls.

Lauridsen Amphitheater

The new Lauridsen Amphitheater constructed at Water Works Park in Des Moines, Iowa, stretches toward the sky just like the surrounding oak trees twist and stretch toward leafy canopies in this riverside woodland. The amphitheater’s canopy is clad with aluminum composite material by 3A Composites USA.

Geico Regional Headquarters, Tucson

A 200,000 square-foot, three-story building houses the new regional headquarters for Geico in Tucson, Arizona. ATAS International’s Belvedere 6” Short Rib solid and perforated panels in clear satin anodized aluminum were used on portions of the walls, along with solid panels in a custom blue color. For the stairwells, custom perforated ATAS panels in clear satin anodized aluminum were installed.

John's 360° Coatings Hangar

John Mosley was just a teenager when he learned to paint cars at his dad’s autobody repair shop in Clinton, MS. As his love of painting and passion for quality finish work grew, so too did his interest in coatings and sealants. Unable to find a product that met all of his high standards, he developed his own and founded John’s 360° Coatings. He mainly applies his two-part formulations to planes, working out of a newly built hangar in Bolton, MS. The 100’ x 150’ hangar is outfitted with a 115’-wide hydraulic hangar door from Schweiss Doors.

Mercy Health Muskegon Medical Center

CENTRIA®, manufacturer of metal wall and roof panels, supplied its Intercept modular metal wall panel system for the recently constructed Mercy Health Muskegon Medical Center in Muskegon, MI. A $271-million, 10-story health care facility, the new building effectively doubles the amount of floor space for medical staff to treat patients.

Las Vegas Ballpark

Minor league baseball has been in the middle of a building boom the past few years, as local communities and team owners are seeing value in raising the amenities level for their area stadiums. Featuring metal panels from Petersen, the Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin, Nev., home to the Triple-A Las Vegas Aviators franchise, is one of the latest entries to this list.

Williston Basin International Airport

Williston, North Dakota has a history deeply rooted in the railroad and agriculture industries, but a surge of oil-related jobs has brought new people and new construction. Case in point is the Williston Basin International Airport. Completed in 2019, it features a people-friendly terminal that reflects the history of the Williston Basin. Dri-Design Wall Panels were utilized to create a cohesive, welcoming look both inside the terminal and out.

Palm Beach Gardens Operations Center

Design-build projects for the public sector always come with specific requirements with little room for flexibility. The City of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, wanted its new Operations Center to meet the requirements of LEED Silver certification, look great and be designed to withstand 205 mph ultimate wind speeds, all while staying within a strict budget. The choice of insulated metal panels (IMPs) from Metl-Span helped meet those goals.

Just like the original owner of the building one hundred years earlier, the owner of the Mosinee Brewing Company had a vision for what her building could be – a craft brewery, taproom, outdoor beer garden and event space – and how it could help revive her local community. Gross Memorial Coliseum

The usually busy Fort Hays State University campus was closer to a ghost town when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March. Students were attending classes online and athletic events were canceled. It turned out to be the perfect time to reroof – and re-wall – the school's Gross Memorial Coliseum. The building's original copper roof panels were replaced with jobsite-formed 238T symmetrical standing seam panels from McElroy Metal.

Sanger Educational Complex

The 2020-21 school year is not like any other, leaving some educational buildings completely or nearly empty. A new structure waiting for students to arrive and thrive is the Sanger Educational Complex in California’s Sanger Unified School District. The complex houses middle school and high school campuses. An exploration of the complex reveals curves at the entrance to the kitchen, within the cafeteria, made from Flex-C Trac from Flex-Ability Concepts.

Penn Township Residence

ATAS International's CastleTop panels in three shades of green - Forest, Hemlock, and Patina - were used, along with Dove Grey Grand C panels, to create the unique façade of a striking residence in Penn Township, PA. The home won first place in the residential walls category of ATAS International’s 2019 Project of the Year competition.
