Northgate Plaza

Northgate Plaza, a new office building opened in February 2020 in the fast-growing Pinnacle Hills neighborhood of Rogers, Ark., was envisioned as a new standard for occupant-focused office space in this premiere business and entertainment district. Complementing its glass exterior is aluminum composite material (ACM) cladding from 3A Composites USA.

SouthWest Transit Offices

Minnesota's SouthWest Transit is the public transit agency for the Twin Cities suburbs of Chaska, Chanhassen, Eden Prairie and Carver, offering service from Downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, Normandale Community College and Best Buy Headquarters. When the agency needed to expand its offices in Eden Prairie, Sheet Metal Supply (SMS), with a wide variety of architectural offerings, was among the suppliers called upon to provide the creative construction solutions.

Tech Parks Arizona Addition

A major renovation and addition to one of the buildings that comprise the Tech Parks Arizona Business Park creates additional working space for potential research and development tenants. Aesthetics played a large role in the choice of insulated metal panels from Metl-Span for the addition.

Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium

The renovated Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville might have all the latest amenities, but its design pays homage to the school’s earlier days. The facility’s steeply pitched metal roof from Petersen, in a signature orange-red finish, is a clear reference to the buildings surrounding the stadium, and it also frames an impressive gateway into the ballpark’s friendly confines.

Terminix Headquarters

In order to consolidate operations previously taking place in separate structures, Terminix decided to construct a new two-story office and warehousing facility on its existing campus in Columbia, SC. Because of the building's high visibility and proximity to Interstate 26, great aesthetics were a must. To elevate the overall design, and also give a nod to the site's original structures, the project's architect incorporated eye-catching panel profiles from McElroy Metal into the look.

Nelson Family Farms

Nelson Family Farms needed an additional storage facility for its growing fleet of farm equipment, to be built on nearby property. The Nelsons reached out to Dan Larson, owner of Dan Larson Construction in Vincent, Iowa, to put up their new shed, using metal roofing and wall panels from American Building Components.

Mississippi Aquarium

In August 2020, the new Mississippi Aquarium opened in downtown Gulfport. The aquarium figures not only into local revitalization plans, but also in tourism aspirations for the entire Gulf Coast. The museum's three main buildings were designed with beauty, sustainability and resiliency in mind, and are clad with 16,000 zinc tiles fabricated from RHEINZINK prePATINA® blue-grey material. With a potential lifespan of 100 years or more, the natural metal supports both the Aquarium's economical and environmental goals.

First State Bank

First State Bank prides itself on being a strong, supportive bank for the vibrant Russellville, Ark., community. While the bank's operations and staff lived up to that motto, the Main Street Downtown location’s decor was not expressing it. A recent lobby renovation breathed life back into the branch, especially with a curved ceiling cloud created with Flex-Ability Concepts' Flex-C Arch.

Cornerstone Bible Church Reroof

When the old asbestos diamond shaped shingles began to fail on the Cornerstone Bible Church in Glendora, California, ATAS’ CastleTop was chosen as a replacement. The shape of the .032 aluminum panels, which resembled the original shingles in appearance, was an important factor in their choice of a replacement roofing material.

The Forge On Broadway

If there's a right balance between style and affordability, the developers behind The Forge On Broadway in Buffalo, NY, seem to have struck it. Conceived to provide affordable 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units for tenants meeting income caps, the 159-unit, three-story project offers plenty of amenities and boasts curb appeal to boot, thanks in part to the incorporation of Omega-Lite ACM panels from Laminators Inc. into the design.

Civitas House

Sited within a New Urbanist neighborhood of traditional-style homes – and across the street from Memphis’ Mississippi River shoreline – the new, very progressive Civitas house makes a strong statement in its looks, alone. It’s also a high-performance residence, achieving multiple energy and environmental certifications. Metal wall and roof panels from Petersen play a starring role in in both its design and performance.

Elsie Coffey Childcare Development Center

For Bangor Housing Authority’s Elsie Coffey Childcare Development Center, a new roof means safety from the wear, tear and moisture of a New England winter and protection for children both in the building and out on the adjacent playground. The reroof project combined the forces of Garland’s R-Mer Span and S-5! SnoFence.

Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences And The Arts Creativity And Innovation Complex

Thanks in part to the largest grant in the school's history, the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts has completed the $4.7 million Creativity and Innovation Complex in Hot Springs, AR. The 21,000-square-foot building is clad with four different McElroy Metal cladding products that feature premium coil-applied paint coating from Sherwin-Williams.

Grove Bay Parking Garage

Shimmering Cambridge Architectural metal mesh designed to obscure vehicle visibility at Miami’s new Grove Bay public parking garage is also the canvas for a series of bold graphics that pay homage to the historic seaplanes that once flew from the site.

Multi-Purpose Equestrian Barn

Deciding it was time to downsize, Bruce Goode, a retired cattle ranch owner and airline pilot, purchased a small, 8-acre equestrian estate in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. On that property, which has spectacular mountain and lake views of the Okanagan Valley, he built a 3,500-square-foot multi-purpose barn, topped with a crisp, black metal roof that serves as a mounting platform for an impressive looking 28.35 kW PV solar panel array. Securing the panels to the roof is a penetration-free mounting system from S-5!.

Moser School

The new Moser School for fourth and fifth grade students is a 79,000 square foot building which opened in September of 2019 in Rocky Hill, CT. ATAS International’s Linear Ceiling panel in a custom wood grain pattern, featuring a high-performance 70% PVDF paint finish, was used for the project.

McLeod Hangar

Dr. Robert McLeod of Creston, British Columbia, should be proud of his new 44' x 30' hangar. It features a beautifully designed exterior, highlighted by Douglas Fir log posts and beams, and features a trio of 3' x 6' Douglas Fir-trimmed windows. Best of all, the hangar has a premium hangar door. The 42'-6" x 12'-6" bifold liftstrap door was manufactured by industry leader Schweiss Doors. It’s equipped with an automatic latching system and remote opener.

Catalyst Building

The future is green in Spokane, Washington, with the opening of the Catalyst Building on September 17, 2020. The net-zero-carbon, zero-energy Eastern Washington University building aims to set a new standard for eco-friendly materials and design. A featured element of its construction is KarrierPanel insulated metal panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels.

Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center

Stetson University, located in DeLand, Fla., halfway between Orlando and Daytona Beach, might be landlocked, but that hasn’t stopped the school’s rowing ambitions. The school christened a new boathouse - featuring curved metal roofing from Petersen - on the shores of nearby Lake Beresford in an effort to provide a home its rowing teams can be proud of, while also creating a home for its Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience.
